One of the magnificent, mysterious truths about the new birth is that it creates a state of being for the believer in which we are simultaneously in Jesus, even as he is in us.
This truth is emphasized and reiterated over and over in the new testerment, both in the words of Jesus and in the letters of both paul and John.
In just the first chapter of of ephesians alone youll find roughly a dozen occurences of phrases like, in him, in Christ and, in Christ Jesus, The full witness of the new covenant is this, because we are in Jesus and he in us, we stand in his righteousness, his favor and his authority. That is our leagal possition in the courts of heavens.
In fact, even though we remain here on earth, living out our daily lifes, there is a very real sense in which we are also enthroned with christ in heaven.
This is the unambiguous message (not open to more than one interpretation) in Eshesisans 2:6 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
This means that you never come to God in prayer as your self alone, for you Gods throne is a throne of grace you can approach boldly, Hebrews 4:16 6 There for since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,
And because you come in his righteousness, his favor and his authority, you qualify for everyone of the great and precious promises in the the word, for no matter how many promises God has made they are yes in christ, and so through him the (AMEN) is spoken by us to the glory of God, 2.cor 1:20 20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of
God.
When your heart becomes convinced of this thruth the gratitude, joy, and adoration this produces in you you fuels your faith and worship, and the confidence this produces in you fuels your faith some more.
