I think the beast is, basically, government

I mean, if you think about it... govt is where all the $$ is at.. so...

it stands to reason that all that money and power would end up corrupting everyone who touches it... human nature being what it is...

What to do... what to do?

Authoritarian governments are rising while true democracy barely exists. The media is mostly controlled by the left and they control the news. There are still some sensible people and organisations. The Beast will appear to be the saviour of the world, but we know how it ends up. We also know that the Lord Jesus will destroy the Beast and all the spiritual forces that are behind him. What to do? Rejoice. Our redemption is not far off.

I was thinking about the beast and the mark recently and had some thoughts pop into my head that the beast would be a city or a country that was partially devastated by a war, perhaps a civil war, possibly a nuclear war. It was rebuilt but still showed the scars of it and became the leader and control center of the world.

like I said somewhere else .. I believe the fake christians will join forces, the Catholic and the Protestant while the true believers will be persecuted and no one likes being persecuted so some will join the ranks of the fake ones.. Hey, that may be happening already... do ya think?

There are so many direct and indirect references to the mark of the beast you can see in pop culture. Enough to say that even those who are not Christians also have a general idea of what it is about.

Talking from where I am from (India) and also what I believe, it is not evil to be a leftist any more than someone who is happy with the way things are. if you're an American, sure you're going to disagree with leftist views because you live in a capitalist country. Although what I think and also what has come to be around the world is wherever leftists have dominance in the world there is nothing but progress.

Take Cuba for example. It is a socialist country. Wherever there is an epidemic or a need for medical care in most parts of the world, Cuban doctors are among the first respondents to be seen there.

Take communist China for example. They were quick to recognise the threat of the coronavirus and take precautions. It doesn't mean that they got full control of the situation. At least they didn't do what the Trump administration did. Just being negligent and saying that by summer time, the virus will die away.

My country India is no better. It's right wing ruled country now. Never has there been such a worse implementation of anti people policies in Indian history. Like the CAA, NRC, etc. The Indian government would export vaccines to other countries but not have enough when it comes to the second wave for itself.

Socialism works on the principle where the least man in the society counts as much as a man who is well off. Socialism doesn't leave the 'have nots' and the poor to rot and die in the gutter. What Malcolm X, Mao and Che Guevara worked for was worthy of respect. The ideals they fought for and died for is nothing short of noble. But I digress.

This thread mentioned mainly about the mark of the beast. The Bible warns us to be wary of the Anti Christ and the mark. There are two realms according to our Lord Jesus. The earthly realm and the heavenly realm. That's how Jesus talks to us in the four Gospels. So while we would look at what happens on earth, we have to be aware of how things are spiritually for us in the life we live in this world. Right, left or pacifist, if you believe in Christ, you fight a spiritual war. That is not the same as what happens in this earth. You have to look towards saving your soul by end of your time of earth. May God help each and everyone of us to do that and fight that battle. For it is said in the Bible that He will come for us like a thief. We won't know which hour.

Some people leave the Catholic Church because it is becoming too liberal.. which doesn't make much sense in light of Mt 1618 which says that Jesus's Church will never succumb to the "gates of Hell" and Mt 28:20 which says He will "be with you always, even to the end"

What kicks off the end times is a huge cataclysmic event. We ease into it with the horsemen but immediately following them there is a huge event. I’m guessing it’s the flyby of what has been recorded as Nibiru. This is what causes islands to shift, and the stars to fall from the sky (huge meteor shower) and the sky (atmosphere) to roll back like a scroll. Then out of the rubble the one world government rises because there are no superpowers, just chaos. We are a ways out yet, however those who know it’s coming have been preparing.

I do not agree w/ your assessment of socialism. I do not believe in unfettered capitalism either, but even unfettered capitalism is far superior to socialism..

socialists are destroying our country (USA)

If conservatives do not fight this with all they have... we are doomed.. and one day we will all look back nostalgically to the days long ago when we had (not only capitalism) but FREEDOM (that comes from that kind of system)

Again, it is hard to say what will happen in the future.. which is why I don't pursue more info and commentary on "end times"

My thing is: following facts

facts RE what is actually going on now..

which has led me to be quite disheartened... about Trump "losing" (ha ha.. NOT) and etc...

("I was Hungry and you gave me to eat. Thirsty and you gave me to drink. Sick and in prison and you visited me. Now enter into my kingdom"

People: Lord when did we see you hungry, thirsty ... when did we do these things?"

Jesus: " Whenever you did this to the least of my brethren, you did it to me")

AND

(Jesus would say to the bad people:

"Depart from me you cursed. For I was Hungry..... You will be cast into the eternal fire."

The evil people: Lord when did we see you hungry, thirsty, naked, sick or in prison.....

Jesus: Whenever you did not do it to the least of these you did it to me.)

This is something that Jesus Himself talks about in the Bible. Read the Gospel of Matthew. This is one of the main ways if not the main way of God's judgement on all people.

It's okay if you don't agree. We need not agree on our views as long as we can show each other what we really want to convey to one another clearly.
