Works error

Romans 12:1 seems conditional to me and indicates that we become acceptable to the Lord when we leave our sins.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

We are to overcome our sins so that we may become acceptable to God.

A person in Christ has already avoided hell . Being sealed by the Holy Spirit ensures this . I don't disagree with the rest of what you say .

Bodies .

we are already acceptable to God. if we were not, it would be useless to pray

we become acceptable when we accept Christ as our Redeemer. nothing we do makes us more acceptable

you are confusing our giving of ourselves to God, which is acceptable, with being sinless which is impossible. if it were possible, Jesus would not have died in our place.

we are bought with the blood of Christ, our sins are forgiven and we are a new creation in Jesus!

sin is not even mentioned. Paul is addressing the conclusion to the preceeding 11 chapters of Romans in which he outlined salvation and righteousness

the verse you have ascribed to becoming sinless, is actually about worship, which is not indicating singing or raising your arms and closing your eyes and feeling food

In what way do we need to be acceptable unto God? If you read Ephesians 1 it will tell you the only way we are made accepted in the beloved and its in Christ.

Good works performed by the grace of God are a manifestation of a saving faith in the shed blood of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and the Holy Spirit living inside of us to comfort and guide us during the life-long repentance process.

Sins of omission.

If we are already acceptable to God when we don't leave our sins, then are we doubly acceptable to God when we leave our sins? Romans 8:7 clearly indicates enmity between those who live for their flesh (sins). We are then not acceptable to the Lord if we do not leave our sins.

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

What do you think being conformed to the world means, other than accepting the carnal as OK.

Yes, to be made acceptable to God is through Christ. This means to believe in what Christ believes, which is the spirit, and things of the spirit, that are non carnal. If you believe in carnal world living, you then do not believe in Christ, no matter what you may claim otherwise.

I do believe that the Lord expects us to do good works, from a heart that honestly loves our neighbor. This is like the Samaritan in Luke 10, who felt and had compassion for the half dead man on the road. He did not do this to do a good work, he did it because love for his neighbor was in his heart.

The condition would be on us and not on GOD.GOD looks at the heart and GOD IS Perfect and GOD IS a SPIRIT so then GOD does not need to see physical works But man does need to see physical works to know If the person Is sincere.No man can just use his mind to see what someone Is thinking to convince someone that he Is sincere ,he has to display works that are seen first then felt.
This Is our part talking about renewing our minds to match our new selves.Like I said when we received salvation GOD accepted us and HE IS Perfect so then we don’t have to do works to be accepted by GOD and this Is a One time event.

If a person Is not In the VINE they can not receive nourishment from the VINE.
