God doesn't want His people to be overly gullible to the fear of sickness, disease and death. We all die at one time or another. Our first priority should always be to be living well in obedience to God in all areas of our lives, in daily life, and having a close walk with God - praying to Him regularly for help and guidance in life - and sincerely repenting of all sin in daily life.
The media is good at creating fear and distorting truths. I and many other Christians see it as I do - that it has greatly overly exaggerated the severity of the Coronovirus. But we aren't to let the media to keep us from seeing things from God's perspective. His way of viewing things is always the healthiest and the wisest. So we all need to always pray that God keeps us from swallowing lies that the media is capable of creating. And we are not to let any media news - true or false - to alter God's plan for our lives in daily life.
Another thing I see in error about the overly exaggerated emphasis on Coronovirus - is that it's amazing that people can be so much more concerned about an earthly problem like this than the terror that far outweighs them all! The terror there will be for those who die without the Lord! Their destination will be hell for all eternity! How terrible that will be for them! They can prevent this by accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior of their life. But that's a choice each person must make - to either accept Him or to reject Him.
Those who are true Christians need to always be in the habit of praying for the salvation of the lost, so that as many as is possible can get saved before this world comes to an end. Paul the apostle prayed for the salvation of the Jews. And Jesus said to pray for more preachers to go out into the world. Etc. and etc.
Matt 9:38
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

I am getting checked up on cancer coming week.
I fear getting tested for corona more. They put a long stick to the back of your nose.
So in that perspective I might cancel my appointment (which has already been stalled) due to corona bs surrounding a simple check up.

You have my true sympathy. I would not like having that covid19 check-up either. On the one hand it should be by permission only but if it is a requirement for the cancer check, perhaps you should bit the bullet and have it.

They keep showing that test in progress on many on TV here in Spain, and now I have to turn my head if I cannot turn it off in time.

At any rate I began praying for you from the cancer mention. May you be blessed and comforted in every manner...j

I pray that God guides you to make the best decision in that matter. Yes, I think that method of putting a stick down one's throat to test for Coronovirus, sounds horrible and full of hogwash! It's sad that hospitals are forcing this upon patients this year! How against God's laws, who wants all people to be free to make their own decisions in life! The Coronovirus is something governments of the
world have been using this year to take tyrannical control over their people - scary!

I think I'll try to ask a man who recently recovered from Coronovirus - who is a member at the Mennonite church we attend - if he was forced to have a stick put down his throat, before he got sick with it.

I myself, never go to a doctor as I'm not able to handle any medical drugs, I've found. But I've had good luck with doctoring myself in just natural ways - foods, etc. Some use natural methods for trying to cure cancer (I don't have that). Others use the more typical methods that hospitals give for it. I have heard about 2 people so far (Joni Eareckson Tada and an online pastor I used to listen to) , who were cured through that method. However, I've also heard that huge numbers of people who take typical cancer treatment offered by hospitals, only end up dying from cancer anyhow - in the process. I've never met anyone who felt they were cured completely of cancer, through natural methods. Except for a Christian relative, who feels she was cured of thyroid cancer, through taking a natural remedy for it.

Hospital therapy for cancer can be very hard on bodies. Some feel that if one is close to the end of their lives anyhow - it isn't worth the unpleasantness - though for some - it might prolong their lives.

Here's the article I read about that from:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3099412/

I pray that God will help you to make the right and best decision in your case!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
1For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
2a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

Ecclesiastes 3:9-12
9What gain has the worker from his toil? 10I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. 11He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. 12I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live;

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
16So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

True and well said - the verses you gave are good for illustrating the truth of this - that we are not to be overly fearful about sickness, disease or dying. If we truly belong to God, that's the important thing. And God is in control of our lives!

I did both. The "stick" was not nearly as bad as I was told it would be. Uncomfortable for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, but not a horrible torture. :) It seemed like the Nurse was digging for oil though. :)

Nostril was sore for about an hour afterwards, but it does not even come close to a migraine or an abscess tooth.

I'm glad you got through it ok! I pray God helps you through the process ahead of you now with your cancer!

I don't have cancer, but I was tested (x-ray, cat scan) for it due to exposure to some bad chemicals. Sorry. Didn't mean to imply that I actually had cancer.

My understanding was you were to be examined to see if you have cancer. To me this is reason enough to pray for you. God bless you and hold you close always.

Oh I see! Well, I'm so glad you don't have cancer, then! I pray God guides you as to how to have best eating and health habits for your future so that you keep as well as possible throughout the rest of your life - it's no fun not being well - as I'm sure you know!
