Unpardonable sin

Hello my name is Jacqueline, I have been a christian for 3 years now. I have been struggling with blasemphous thoughts and yesterday I am afraid that i slipped out speaking blasemphous words against the HS. Im scared that i committed the unpardonable sin, i feel so hopeless and i don't know what to do. I don't want to live my life with a life not knowing if I commited this awful sin or not. Please pray for me. I have autism spectrum as well so I always say unintentional things and have a hard time comprehending things.

Remember God looks at the heart. If you have an issue that makes your thoughts or behaviors difficult God would understand that. If it's not your heart and belief, but a symptom of something else don't worry.

And most believe blasphemy of the holy spirit is rejecting it, rejecting God basically.

The fact that you're worried about it is a sign you have nothing to worry about. If you say it and mean it you wouldn't care or be worried about doing it.

In Matthew 12:22-32 the people present who witnessed Jesus, God in the flesh, heal a man so that he could speak and see, said “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons.” meaning that they were attributing the healing power of the Holy Spirit, the power of God, to the devil. Jesus' response was that that what they said couldn't be pardoned.

None of us have ever witnessed Jesus come in the flesh and do miracles like this, meaning we don't have opportunity to reproduce what the Pharisees did in this scenario. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is literally impossible if this is the accurate interpretation.

As someone else mentioned, it is sometimes interpreted as literally rejecting Christ. While in the state of rejecting Christ a person remains in a state of unpardoned sin. Once that person turns to Christ in faith and repents, the Bible is clear there is mercy and forgiveness.

Your heart and the Word of God will win and you will bring your mind under submission in Jesus name .. I just wanna talk to you as a person on the autism spectrum too. According to my mom I didn’t talk till I was 5 years old and this is how I like to look at it: God made us. He forms us and created everyone, even though I struggle with my disability (I’m more on the high-functioning end, but I struggle being social most of my life and being shy) I know God made me and gave me a purpose. I struggle and have decided to be doing antidepressants/therapy, but I know Jesus was the only perfect one, we all will mess up and that is okay. It just is what it is.

I have heard it taught if we are concerned we have blasphemed the Holy Spirit, then we haven't, the blasphemy would be in willfully doing so where there would be no remorse. I hope this helps, bless you

RunningMan in post #3 pretty much said it. When Jesus was casting out demons, the Pharisees said that it was by the power of Beelzebub that Jesus was casting them out, which is just another name for Satan. However, since Jesus was casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then they were saying that He had an evil spirit and thereby calling the Holy Spirit evil. Therefore, in order to commit blaspheme against the Holy Spirit, one would have to make the same claim as the Pharisees, i.e. that Jesus cast out demons by the prince of demons, basically saying that He had an evil spirt.

In addition, the fact that you are concerned about this tells me that you have not committed this sin or else you wouldn't be concerned about committing it. These types of things come from Satan and the powers of darkness to interrupt our faith. From the sound of your post, I'm sure that you have already gone to God more than a few times confessing this. Fyi, once is enough as He heard you the first time and scripture states that "when we sin, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us ours sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Rest assured that the Lord is also aware of you autism spectrum. Jesus said, "No man comes to the Son except the Father draws Him." If it was possible for you to commit blaspheme against the Spirit, then God would no longer be drawing you.

Scripture states that Jesus is the One who searches the hearts and the minds, so He knows your heart. Since you have already confessed your error, consider it forgiven and don't let Satan drag you down because of this.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.

Cleanse from ALL unrighteousness. NO forgiveness is withheld if we ask.
So unpardonable sin, then must be the sin that man refuses to repent of and confess...
That's why so many people conclude that the unpardonable sin = rejecting God = never coming to repentance.
In context, the Pharisees to whom this was told, regularly saw Jesus heal people, and they were envious that people followed Him and not them, and that's why they said that He had a demon, although they knew better. They knew well that only Holy Spirit can raise dead and give sight to the blind and make people walk. Demons don't do that. It's not about some word formula they said, it's about them knowing who Jesus was, yet rejecting God knowingly. They knew in their hearts they were fighting against and slandered the Holy Spirit and remained unrepentant:

After healing a blind man, this is said.

John 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see [see Jesus the light of the world, aka repent from their sins; read the whole chapter Jesus talks about Himself being the light while restoring the man's sight];
and that they which see [the proud who don't enter the Kingdom and won't let others enter either] might be made blind [heart hardens from unbelief].
40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind [admitting that they were "blind", aka acknowledging they sinned against God], ye should have no sin [be forgiven]: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. [sin remained on the unrepentant people; but the blind man after being given sight believes and worships Jesus in the same chapter]

Removing blindness is symbol of repentance, same happens with the apostle Paul, he becomes temporarily blind and then scales fall off his eyes and he becomes a new person. But when someone won't admit their own spiritual blindness and come to be healed, it's not possible to heal them.

John 12:19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him. ["people are not following US anymore, they are following Jesus, how do we STOP him!"]
They knew Jesus was sent by God... but they wanted to stop Him!

God has understanding that you struggle with what is usually called "intrusive thoughts". And probably every one of us had that scary thought out of fear at some extent, because the idea of unpardonable sin is indeed scary. Satan seems to enjoy frightening people with this, attacking and terrorizing, especially through our illnesses and weaknesses, but God looks at your heart. Don't be afraid.
