You should not worry too much about the abortion you had, or get too upset when people abruptly say that abortion is murder without compassion. They are going off talking points mainly for political reasons.
I never had an abortion, but my mother often thought about abortion at the time. However, German law at the time forbade her to do so, and so she was forced to get us. And we children felt their rejection. For example, I remember a scene i was about four years old when my mother beat my sister with a wooden hanger so much that she had to be taken to the hospital.
It would have been better for us to never have been born.

Even though I disagree with abortion being used as regular birth control since I believe an unborn child is nonetheless a child, and while I believe all abortions probably displease God, I believe and hope God will be understanding where women had abortions for reasons such as yours. People may steal because they are greedy, or because they are trying to feed their family. God looks at the heart.
There are many good ways to prevent pregnancy these days. Women who do not want children would do well to apply them.

Gerlinde24:

I wonder why you answered "unsure" to the question on your Profile Page as to Spiritual Status?
As a seeker of a religion, you can still have your own opinions. Also on the subject of abortion.

It seems fairly clear from your determined efforts here in justifying the killing of an unborn child which is against the Word of God that your are quite sure that you are not a Christian.
I am a Christian in the sense that I was forcibly baptized as a baby. I do not count the "baptism" of the JW sect among them.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that abortion is forbidden by God. It is all just an interpretation of some biblical passages.

IF you are sincerely seeking to become a believer, then may I suggest you put more time and effort into reading and understanding the Word of God than Harry Potter books.
Not only do I read Harry Potter or other novels, I also read the Bible and many nonfiction books on a wide variety of topics. And when I read the Bible and various books on biblical topics, I come to different results than the people here.
Here you want people to believe recklessly, but I only believe in the facts.

It's clear that you have gone to a lot of effort to amass ALL the arguments FOR abortion and against God. So much so, that I am wondering if this isn't your true intention in being here on CC? It's actually quite sad............may God forgive you for your disputation against His Word and in support of killing His beloved children.
That's why I want my account to be deleted. I don't want to have anything to do with you fools anymore.

This VILE FICTION was created by a corrupted Supreme Court to sanction murder. It has been promoted over and over again, even though the scientific and biblical evidence says that the fetus -- AT CONCEPTION -- is a person.

This is similar to the way Hitler and Stalin decimated people. They were not persons as far as these monsters were concerned. But many have rightly said that in America and the Western world abortion is GENOCIDE since infanticide is genocide.

But that is not what God says, and it is clear from your posts that what God says is irrelevant.
Anyone who rates "God's Word" higher than judicial decisions, medical findings and common sense is not only a fool, but in my opinion also a crackpot!

I so rate "God's Word" higher than all those things you mention, and so I accept the badges you provide, but you might want to understand what the Bible says on the subject in the first place, and really study it out. It is not as many make it out to be, and is deeper than most know. Yet if not, I still accept God's word none the less as above all.

Psa_138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

In the USA, but also in Germany and Austria, Christians have different opinions on the subject of abortion. Some give women the right to decide for themselves what feminists demand; others see abortion as murder, and aborted women and doctors as murderers.
But is it really just a "black and white thing"? Or is it a little more complicated?
Should a woman or girl who has been raped be forced to have a baby, or should she not be given the right to abortion, to avoid further psychological and physical harm?
And what is the mother of 8 children who can no longer feed any more children because the husband/partner has left?
And what about the woman who doesn't want children and where the anti-baby pill has failed?
Should a woman or girl who has been raped be forced to have a baby, or should she not be given the right to abortion, to avoid further psychological and physical harm?
What is your opinion on this?
I believe that a woman has total responsibility to maintain control over her body as long as her choices are in line with the Word of God. If a woman has 8 children and doesn't want another mouth to feed she needs to be responsible about when she has her relations in that she needs to make sure that she can't get pregnant and if she slips she should hold herself accountable to the Word of God and the Word of God says that abortion is murder because that child is a creation of God.
And what about the woman who doesn't want children and where the anti-baby pill has failed?
Again the responsibility is on the woman to exercise complete control over her body. Any abortion pill is a gamble any time they are used and if the abortion pill fails the woman is responsible for the life that has been created within her and that life was created by God because no life is created without the permission of God and all life is created by God. Not Men.
Should a woman or girl who has been raped be forced to have a baby, or should she not be given the right to abortion, to avoid further psychological and physical harm?
No matter what Abortion is always a choice and not an option. If a raped woman or girl is a believer she should always keep the life created inside of her because God is dead set against premeditated murder of any of His creations and never abort it.
I was told that the Bible (especially the Old Testament) condemns abortion. Only, the Bible was written more than 2,000 years ago, when people had little idea of pregnancy, contraception, and things like that, and where children were seen as possessions, cheap labor, and insurance for old age.
2000 years ago women still had cycles just like women do today and forms of birth control have been around since before Christ.

Birth control and abortion are well documented in Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt. Mesopotamian women used "stones not to give birth", they used small circular stones that they put as deep as possible into their vagina, it's the intrauterine method. (See History of abortion.) The Ebers Papyrus from 1550 BC and the Kahun Papyrus from 1850 BC have within them some of the earliest documented descriptions of birth control, the use of honey, acacia leaves and lint to be placed in the vagina to block sperm.[5][6] Another early document explicitly referring to birth control methods is the Kahun Gynecological Papyrus from about 1850 BC. It describes various contraceptive pessaries, including acacia gum, which recent research has confirmed to have spermatocidal qualities and is still used in contraceptive jellies. Other birth control methods mentioned in the papyrus include the application of gummy substances to cover the "mouth of the womb" (i.e. the cervix), a mixture of honey and sodium carbonate applied to the inside of the vagina, and a pessary made from crocodile dung. Lactation (breast-feeding) of up to three years was also used for birth control purposes in ancient Egypt.[6]
The Book of Genesis references withdrawal, or coitus interruptus, as a method of contraception when Onan "spills his seed" (ejaculates) on the ground so as to not father a child with his deceased brother's wife Tamar.[5]
Customs were much more different then compared to today and children were not considered to be cheap labor at all. They were considered to be assets to the family who responsibility was to take part in the family function of sevival so you need to educate yourself about that.
Lstaly we need to remember that God is always there for us and as long as we are always focused on Christ He will always make a way for us and He will always heal and make us whole. We can do all thing through Christ. Even keeping a baby conceived out of rape.

In your words, my mother should have aborted my sister (the result of a rape by dark-skinned French soldiers shortly after the end of World War II)? And I should not have been aborted because my "father" had left my mother penniless, even if she hated and neglected and beaten us both?
We lived in the Adenauer era in the fifties and sixties. A time when women were blamed when women were raped and abandoned.
We both experienced hell on earth. It would have been better for us if my mother had the right to have an abortion.
You’re a proponent of infanticide. How the hell do you look in the mirror?

The decision of abortion belongs to multiple people- woman, man, parents if there are minors. If boy doesnt want baby and tells girl to abort he is responsible. David sent a soldier to kill Uriah, he did not kill but is responsible for murder. Even if the girl and boy are not married they kind of become "one" because they consumated, so what the boy says matters and as he has "authority" over the woman his words count.

Her body her decision was decided by Supreme Court not God.

Because the Bible says children are blessings and God knits them in the womb, God would not be pleased with abortions.

My issue is people lay the blame almost entirely on women for the abortion, as though she is solely responsible and is the evil one. In many cases the boyfriend or husband is in favor of the abortion, maybe even the girl's parents. There are people who have multiple abortions, but in many cases they are more irresponsible and dumb than evil, such as people who treat abortion as a form of birth control.
I think the father does have rights to the baby even though he is not carrying, and especially so if the woman even if she believes her body her decision later expects him to pay child support.

However this is not a concern in most cases since the man doesnt want to pay child support for 18 years and have his life drastically changed.

Abortion issue has become an anti woman narrative, it should not be.

How is the term "pro life" anti woman?
Because the blame of abortion is laid entirely on the woman, who in many cases are victims. Most women select abortion as a last resort. You can be pro-life but lay the blame of abortion more fairly. Men support abortion and are also responsible for most of these abortions.

This is similar to the boyfriend driving the girl to the abortion clinic.

What does it explain? Asking men to be responsible is hatred?
Gerlinde24 said she and other women joined in their hatred of men. It certainly explains a lot of her beliefs.

The Bible says that if a man (or woman) hates his brother, then God is not in him.

WOW God created the Supreme Court. HOW ignorant can you be? Abortion has eliminated over 60,000,000 tax payers from our tax roles, 60,000,000 Social Security payers from paying into Social Security. Our country is a tax based Society which uses tax's to support ourselves. How much longer do you think we are going to keep spending more and more money then we have comming in while at the same time we are elinminating our tax base?????
It's onle a matter of time (and that time is very close) before America will crash and burn because we killed off so many tax paying Americans before that were allowed to pay any taxes.
Not only is abortion murder but it is bankrupting America.

What is your opinion on this?

It can get tricky if you really dive down deep into it.

Technically I believe the life is in the blood according to the Bible. So anything before the first heartbeat is "okay." That would be the before/after pill and blastocysts from ivf. It's not ideal and we don't live in an ideal world. If we did there would be no rape or infertility.

If a woman is raped she needs to take the before/after pill which is highly effective. After that having the baby should happen. Granted I'm not going to judge what she did does, but killing a baby isn't going to take away the pain of being raped. Nothing will. This is 1% of abortion cases.

Now into the norm. A woman gets pregnant by not being safe or having a bad judgement call. Granted it sucks. However does the guy ever get a say to what happens to his DNA, his baby? Nope... How is that fair?

The notion that it's the women's body is a weak one. Beauty is fleeting and even if you don't have a baby every person grows old. Your body changes. You don't get to choose nature... It is what it is. How I wish I had my gorgeous 25 year old body back! But....I have battle scars and I've grown through my experience. Many things happen to a body that you have no control over.

The baby feels PAIN. I can't emphasize this enough. The baby feels PAIN. They grimace and have high stress responses during abortion indicating the baby is feeling everything.

Knowing that last statement, don't tell me you're a Christian and support a party that supports abortion. It IS our problem. Do you know places are cursed according to such things? So whether you support throwing babies to a volcano god or dismembering a baby in the womb it's the same thing.
