who is this person? and why are they allowed to just troll others and take over threads? I have been ignoring this troll and yet I see that on every single post I make, they mark on x or a laughing head or whatever. This is absolute troll behavior and I reported it but it seems they are allowed to continue with their subversive and divisive manipulations...

We are not called to be psychiatrist. He in the multitude of counselors is the counselor . . not us. He teaches comforts and last but not least brings to our memories the things he has taught us in lessons of humility. . He can do the teaching, its that which we do defend . It works in us like armor

He must do the first work of faith in us. . our first love or experience of believing in a God not seen (called faith) That faith which is not of ourselves takes away all the wonderings as doubting's .In that way doubt is not the opposite of faith . Unbelief "no faith" No shield as armor of God . No protection of His seed .

I think that is why Jesus informed Nicodenmus just after revealing a person must be born again .Marvel not . . but rather believe or exercise work out the unseen will .

Marveling or wondering places a person between to two burdens .(yes or no) Anything that is not of the faith of Christ that comes by hearing God is considered sin . it can break down the armor.

I found it interesting she picked right up with others on @jackrosie being new around here...skipping right on over the things they said to her and many others that are way out of line. Yes, it is quite interesting.

What is also funny is how @Bbrdrd tosses out the decision of the Synod because according to him it was a bunch of churches up against a smaller group promoting heresy. Yet isn't that exactly what happened with the 7 Councils?

He then uses the ecumenical Councils as his proof that they were correct in damning the heresies of their day, but not others, because others did it lopsided and biased, there were fewer numbers of the heretics, so it was "unfair", the others were biased in their doctrines, but not the ecumenical councils, because he says so. Yet that is a skewed view and is not accurate.

The glaring facts show decisions and verdicts were handled in the same manner within the 7 Councils as with the Synod of Dort. Smaller sects of heresies arose in the church period during the Councils just as in the days of the Synod. Documents were sent about and read to the church heads concerning the errors, were examined, and the larger orthodox body convened to condemn the heresies of Nestorianism, Pelagianism, Arianism &c.

It was exactly the same thing with the Synod sans any Catholic representation for obvious reasons. Handled in the same manner, the larger body of orthodoxy condemned the heresy.

To him it is different and unfair only because of his obvious disdain for the Doctrines of Grace. An overview of the details in history shows his view to be scanted in order to support him, not history, which is why he wants to toss out and mitigate councils he doesn't like.
