As far as being born again, the question is not whether you’re born again or not, it’s a question of are you born again of corruptible seed or incorruptible seed?
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." (Genesis 3:15) I would love to see the first conversation between Eve and Mary. Jesus is the incorruptible seed. The serpent is the corruptible seed. "Between thy seed and her seed". Even from the foundation or the beginning. We are told that from Conception God writes the book of our life. (Psalm 139:16)

Jesus is incorruptible but the incorruptible seed that we are born again by is the incorruptible word of God.

1Pe 1:23 (KJV) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Jesus is the word of God. We only need the first word in the Bible: "Beginning" at most we only need the first three chapters in Genesis. The whole story is there. "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." (Revelation 22:13) "Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure" (Isaiah 46:10)

You're getting bolder with your insults. Keep it up, and I will do everything in my power to get you banned.
It wasn’t an insult he asked my opinion and I gave him an honest answer. Did you want me to lie to him?

Well it depends. If the lie is that you think I look like George Clooney, then that's ok. :)

What original texts would you be referring to? Written by whom?
When I said "Wycliffe Bible translators does all their work from the original texts" what I meant was that they use the Hebrew and Greek as the basis of their translations. We do not actually have any of the "original texts", but instead have Hebrew and Greek texts put together by Biblical scholars who have studied the various and many manuscripts that have been found.

The KJV has the authority of God. We are told: "Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it." (Jeremiah 1:12) The word Hasten means that God is watching over His word. Right off I do not like the word "IT" and I find that offensive. The WORD of God is not an IT. Still the KJV is the word that God watches over. Even though the KJV falls very short of translating the Word of God. We need to go back to the original Hebrew to understand the true meaning. We need to study and learn Hebrew. Of course this does not help us with the Red Letters or the words of Jesus because that is in Greek. It is the Torah that Jesus came to fulfill. "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." (Matthew 5:18) In the Hebrew every stroke of the pen, every jot and every tittle has profound meaning. This is what we should be teaching our students in Kindergarten. For example, A is upside down and represents the horns on a bull or the leader of the hurd. B represents our tent or dwelling - where we abide. C represents a camel or transportation and commerce. Even though today we travel on airplanes and not camels the meaning is still the same. When we understand the letters then we can understand the words.
Not sure how to respond to what you say here - it is hard to follow what you are actually trying to say ??

Dividing your writing into smaller paragraphs might help . . .

I do think you are saying some valuable things above . . .

Ah, Dino246, I don't think KJV1611 has a bad spirit - I have corresponded with him enough to know he has a good heart!

But you are probably right that saying "not too bright" is not the best idea - but it is true that he was asked outright his opinion and so he just said it! LOL!

Are you going to try to get him banned from Heaven also? I have been told that to get into Heaven you have to get along with and love everyone that is there. Otherwise it would not be heaven if people were going around trying to get each other banned.

The choice here is to answer his question and give him your opinion or don't answer his question and don't give him your opinion. As you know all liars are thrown into the lake off fire. "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire" (Revelation 21:8)

Actually, to get to "heaven", you need to put your faith in the Person and finished work of Jesus Christ. :)

This is a Christian discussion forum; there is no need for personal insults here. People who insist on insulting others don't need to be here, and that has nothing to do with either my or their eternal destination.

We are having a discussion about this scripture: "Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it." (Jeremiah 1:12) The word hasten means: "watch". Here we are told that God watches over His word. Perhaps it would help if we go back to the beginning. In Genesis 1:3 we read that "God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light". This maybe a little confusing how God spoke Creation into Being. We also read that Jesus is the Word of God.

The Bible gets deep but the Bible can also be understood by a child. Perhaps you can study up on Jeremiah 1:12 to see what understanding you are able to get from this passage on how God watches over His word to perform or to do what HE says He is going to do.

I did not answer because I didn't see the relevance of your question. I still don't. :)

you need to put your faith
Just how far do you think "your faith" is going to get you? "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;" "YOUR" faith is not going to save you. It is the Grace of God that saves us. It is a work of God and not a work of our faith. Even the Faith of God working in and through us. Even Jesus said: "It is finished" at calvary before we were even born. He still has to do His finished work in our life.
