I do not see the connection in our posts. I am saying I think it is right to believe in scripture and you respond with the scripture that Jesus saves. I agree but how is that answer to the scripture that some things are everlasting? Unless your point is that we should not believe any scripture except that one? I agree it is the center. Giving us Christ was the very first thing the Lord did for man. But knowing this is not a good reason to not listen to all God tells us.
From the beginning God Gave instructions to Adam. 2000 year of chaos follows then the flood. then the tow of babel.
Then God chose a Syrian named Abram; made a covenant with him and his decedents.
Then came Jesus The Son. He came to fulfill the promises made to the fathers. (among many other accomplishment)
Romans 15:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
When He said it is finished as He died on the Cross He had completed Roman 18:8 and this marked new beginning. The curtains were split in 2 in the temple; all changed.

11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
15 But the Lord said unto him,
Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
16 For
I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
These Great thing God will show Paul are Mysteries hidden before the creation of the world.
God make and keeps all promises, even to the Jews.
when Paul begins with "I do not want you to be ignorant.... a mystery... find them and study.
