We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.

-John Adams
Right...one of my Christian friends told me the problem was that the rioters needed to be educated in the Constitution.

But Israel knew God's law. They weren't born-again though.

I wouldn't use John Adam's phrase "moral and religious" but perhaps he had regeneration in mind..just didn't use the exact word.

I agree that it likely did not, since the police officer was married to a Laotian woman.
Yes, well you began the thread by saying, "an unarmed black man." Black has nothing to do with what happened, but black people have made it a race issue and the media has thrown gasoline all over it.

It's a tragedy that Mr. Floyd died, but it wasn't because of his skin color. Something happened when he was in the back seat of the police car, to which the cop overreacted. It's as simple as that.

I haven't seen that part of the account..do you have anything that relates it? Like I said, I don't think it was a race issue either, but it has been portrayed as that.

The recent police killing of an unarmed black man is disgusting. There was no excuse for his death. The police officer used a technique that caused his death, and he deserves to be punished.

Massive protests have occurred throughout the nation. Some have involved burning buildings, looting, and destroying public and private property.

These protests come in the wake of the 'social justice movement" related to critical race theory. This movement has also been finding support within the Christian church, at the highest levels.

Now, there is no doubt that God expects the believer to be kind to the helpless in society, and to do whatever good they can do for them. In fact, I believe that Christians today are often lazy about this, and are spending their wealth on themselves rather than concerning themselves with the needs of other, less advantaged persons. I believe many American Christians will be taken to task on this before the throne of God.

But, the question is whether the "social justice" movement related to critical race theory is biblical.

In essence, this is the underlying teaching of the social justice movement: if a man shares the same physical characteristics as an abusive person in society, this man deserves to share at least some of the burden of the sin relating to the abuser. The more physical characteristics you share with the person, the more you deserve to share the burden of his sin.

For instance, white, Christian, male, Southern slaveowners from the 19th century abused slaves. If I am a white Christian Southern-bred male, I deserve to share the punishment for the sins this class perpetrated, more than if I am simply a white, northerner female.

A mental checklist is used to assign guilt and punishment using multiple categories such as this to determine your liability and susceptibility to punishment. The more intersections you populate, the more guilt you have, and punishment you deserve.

Major associations such as the Southern Baptists are fighting over this issue, and churches are leaving their association due to positions on this issue.

Feel free to comment on your position regarding "social justice". Again, no one believes that George Floyd deserved to die. However, I believe that some protesters are using the "social justice" concept to justify looting and rioting that is beyond peaceful protesting that our constitution allows. In fact, it makes no sense to penalize others for the sins of a white police officer. The individuals who owned these businesses likely were not fully insured and will be bearing a heavy financial burden.

And, feel free to supply more explanations related to critical race theory if you want. I admit I am no expert on this matter so my remarks might be a little incomplete.
No, social justice must base oN merit. Killer must go to jail whatever race, looter must go to jail whatever race.

One white man kill black doesn't mean all white must go to jail

One black kill white doesn't mean all black guilty of murder.

God said there is none that does good, no, not one.

And all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

All people have sinned, and all people have done the same things as other ethnic groups.

So how can a certain ethnic group go against a certain ethnic group when their own ethnic group behaves the same way.

How can blacks say social injustice when the blacks are acting the same way as the whites, and want the same ways as the whites.

For blacks are prejudice, black cops have been prejudiced against whites, blacks have shot both black and white, and they have tried to exalt themselves above other people both black and white.

Everybody regardless of ethnic group all act the same for such is the way of the world, which the world is motivated by self exaltation and that is how they will act.

God said the world accuses and excuses each other, which they point their fingers at other people accusing them, and making excuses for themselves and their group, all the while they all act the same.

All nations and ethnic groups push for power, but when they do not have the power they cry they are oppressive, and cruel, but if they had the power they would push it too.

The truth of the matter is blacks are mad because the white people have more power than them, but if they had the power they would push it too.

The blacks want to play the game of the world that loves money, and material things, and to be arrogant, and push for power, and exalt themselves above other people, and then cry when they are on the bottom, and not on the top, and go against another ethnic group that has the power, all the while their own people want the same thing.

For such is the way of the world, and you can see it in black neighborhoods as they love pushing for power and control against each other, and gang rivalries, and loving money, and you can hear it in their music, and the way they talk.

But then want to talk about the white people, but the blacks want the same.

Everybody acts the same in all ethnic groups around the world, for they are all pushing for power, and to exalt themselves, and have power and control over other people, but then they want to be mad when someone else has the power.

The black people want to rule the same as all ethnic groups want to rule.

The black people have developed a cry baby attitude that has been picking up steam, and they need to stop their whining ways.

How many blacks have went against whites, and been prejudiced against them.

And white guilt does not apply for nobody is guilty, or responsible for another person's sins, for that is their sin, not other people's sins.

If some black people offend white people then they are all guilty with that reasoning.

How come it would be white people are guilty of some white people's actions, but black people are not guilty for some black people's actions.

What does a white person doing wrong have to do with all white people the same as what does a black person doing wrong have to do with all black people.

Being Caucasian is not a big club where they all have the same goals and agenda, but like all ethnic groups, some do right, some do wrong.

Keep the wrong doing where it belongs not branch it out to people that are not like that, or are not involved in it.

That is common sense.

It is the same as some white people that want to lump all black people together as being terrible people in society.

And it does not help their cause when they are crying about a social injustice, and then looting, and stealing, and destroying property, that is an injustice, for they will cry about an injustice all the while committing an injustice against people by destroying their property, and stealing their things that has nothing to do with anything.

How can you take them seriously.

And they cannot cry about social injustice, and inequality, and white privilege, when it comes to money, and material things, for many African Americans have it better then many whites when it comes to money, material things, prestige in society, being favored by both white and black, and education.

For blacks are millionaires, billionaires, land owners, house owners, business owners, judges, lawyers, police officers, military, politicians, great jobs, pro athletes, television stars, movie stars, teachers, principals, and other positions, and benefits in society.

Many blacks do better than many whites, so where is those white people's privilege.

And white privilege does not apply, for African Americans will give African Americans privilege, and the same for all ethnic groups.

How can the black people cry about what they want themselves, and how they act themselves.

It does not make sense to cry about other people when your own people want the same, and it does not make sense to cry about the wrong actions of other people when your own people are doing the same wrong things.

Like Paul said if you say do not steal, do you steal yourself.

They cry white privilege all the while they want the privilege, and cry that white person did wrong all the while a black person did wrong in the same wrongfulness.

It does not make sense.

Egypt and Africa was the first to have power, and they were pushing for power and cruel, and that at a time when people were not as self exalting as they are now for the Bible says their self exaltation increases as time goes on.

The Roman Empire, Caucasians were the last power so they could retain it, for when the past powers got knocked down they could not rise again, but they were all pushing for power and cruel like the Bible tells us.

Whites push for power, but blacks push for power too, but they are not as great as the white power so they want to cry, all the while they want it themselves.

We see the attitude blacks have among their community, and neighborhoods, and black on black crime, and acting publicly, which testify against them that they are not acting right as members of society, which many are cautious about them, and many fear the blacks more than the whites overall.

They will take an individual act, an isolated incident, in an isolated area, and transfer that to white people across the nation, which common sense would tell you that it is not justified, and does not make sense.

Continued,

So why are they doing that, and escalating it to the point it is now, and will increase.

This is why they are doing that.

The plan is to establish the new age movement in the world which will lead the world to the New Age Christ kingdom.

God said the nations will come together and work for peace on earth, and end up rebelling against Him.

According to their plan it appears as if they are going to allow the people to make the decision for the world to come together starting with pointing out inequality, and injustices in the world, and all people should get along and are equal despite their differences.

And with this protest, and rioting, it appears to be close to the nations coming together.

For the United Nations have been operating since 1945, and leaders die and are replaced, and eventually replaced by people in cooperation with a certain peace plan for the world, and they work with each other for peace on earth.

After so long of a time the nations leaders of the world probably have a peace plan they want for the world, and how it will operate, and the beliefs they want, and they are moving forward now to cause the nations to come together convincing the people that it is best for the world.

They are starting with the coronavirus, which will introduce them to nanotechnology that can track them to condition them for a better biometric system, the mark of the beast.

And controlled conflict brings about controlled change, as they will use conflict after conflict to achieve their goal of the people of the world wanting the world to come together.

So it appears that this protest, riot thing, could be the start of knocking down the white people, elevating the black people, to put them on an equal level, and the white politicians, and many white business owners, and others, aboard with this for they are part of the plan to make it look like America is making a change that will eventually satisfy the black people.

Because it is time to bring the people of America together as one.

They want to put everybody on an equal level, no fat shaming, no gay bashing, and other differences.

They have feminism, and women's right to get the men and women on an equal level.

The counter culture movement that worked on the youth to get them rebellious and on an equal level with the parents, and authority.

And now they want to put the black people and white people on the same level.

When they are on the same level then Republican and Democrat will start cooperating with each other, which they working together the whole time, and it will bring all the people together as one.

Which on the back of the dollar bill, out of many, one.

That is why President Trump was perceived as a white supremacist, for he was playing his role to stir up the black people so they would lash out, and the white shootings, and the protests being influenced by outsiders in Minnesota, to cause this to happen for it was a plan.

Which is why it escalated so quick which that is what they wanted and planned out to be like that.

Also the new age movement plan has been going on for a while and can use low level people to stir things up like the counter culture movement, and other incidents to cause a reaction of the people.

And they want this to transfer to the world of them crying out about inequality, and injustice, for the leaders all have the same plan now, for they want the people to make the choice to want to come together, so the people will think they are the reason the world came together, and they will not know it was all a plan.

And the nations being against each other, and building more weapons, and threats against each other, and any opposition, is all a plan to get the people of the world to view the world as unstable, chaos and destruction could happen at any time that could be terrible with modern day weapons, so the people will want the world to come together as one.

The nations leaders have their peace plan for the world, and going forward at the time they want to start gathering the nations together starting with the coronavirus.

So white people have to get heat because of it as they want to knock down the white people on purpose so they can put blacks and whites at an equal level with the support of the people that are white like Nancy Pelosi that joined the protest, so that they can gather the people together in America as one people with no more inequality.

In which it will apply to the world.

Add to that controlled conflict brings about controlled change to bring them together.

Add to that the stimulus package in America as a basic income pattern for the world to meet their needs, which will appeal to the people to come together for their needs will be met.

But in reality white people and black people act the same for such is the way of the world, and the sins of a few cannot project to the entire ethnic group for that is common sense.

Who would you think is more disruptive in American society, and into loving power and control, among white people and black people of upper middle class and down to the poor.

And take in to consideration that black people are only 12 percent of the population, which makes their high numbers even worse.

Who do people fear the most in society, and afraid to be around the most.

There is only one race. It is Adam's race. We have all sinned. We all need to repent. This wickedness will continue until the Lord comes back. Come quickly Lord Jesus.

Christians should never support Black Lives Matter because it is a racist, cultural Marxist organization regardless of their claims.

They are intent upon destroying our society and the Christian church, and using violence to accomplish their goals. This belief system has actually made significant progress in the infiltration of the Christian church, including organizations such as the Gospel Coalition and well-known Christian speakers such as Thabiti Anyabwile. Southern Baptist Convention has many pastors who are affirming this false, humanistic belief system too.

Study the BLM beliefs here:

https://blacklivesmatter.com/what-we-believe/

For a good Christian critique of their underlying theology I recommend these videos:

Racism is wrong and anti-Christian. Black Lives Matter, ironically, is a racist organization. They may present themselves as something else, but the reality is that the social justice movement as a whole is a racist movement that treats individuals as a group. It is racist. Period.

I don't know about you guys, but I have bought a handgun and ammo in response to the Black Lives Matter movement. I already possess a concealed carry permit. I believe that it is capable of great violence in the future.

The movement is an outlet for evil to happen. It would absolutely destroy this nation if left unchecked. Right now downtown Seattle is being occupied by a bunch of hoodlums. The democratic governor is not doing anything at all. Trump need to send in the United States Army to clean up that mess and quickly. They don't use rubber bullets either.

It is insane.

Political leaders are not doing anything because they are afraid of the consequences.

By the way, if you stand against them, they publish your personal information so that their thugs can attack you. One Christian restaurant owner was threatened with this.

Yes it is biblical. The Bible tells us a lot about how society would tolerate pagan religions and become whores. All sluts are subject to lies, they all cleave to the lies and not the truth. The Bible forewarned us how the churches too would fall into the heresies that revolve mostly around whoredom and tolerance of pagan religion. The world rewards the sluts, and sadly the fallen heretics do too. The world punishes and hates you the more just and pure you are because you follow God and ultimately the world hates God. Nevertheless, God will help us endure and Jesus will come back and he will save us by throwing the whores into the lake of fire forever, in Jesus' name, amen.

Yeah that's the end of the story...and you are right..it is a godless movement.

However in the meantime I think the President should declare a state of emergency and seize control of the governments of the cities, and shut Black Lives Matter down.

The only thing is that I don't think he will. Sadly.

In my country some thing like this often happen in the Election Day, there is a professional people that make money from riot. Some body pay this professional man to create riot to discredit current administration to make the man in power look bad and lose the election.
This people spend money to provide logistic and pay every rioter.
I don't know about USA, but ex riot maker was tell the story on tv.

Social justice is part of critical theory.
A real good approach is to study the Frankfort school as it relates to Western philosophy and how it got rooted in America.
