You do realize that he’s just trying to pick fights. The best way to stop people from showing off their ignorance is by not giving them an audience. Look, he’s controlling your emotions. That’s what he wants, attention.
There is a principle of this present age that you might not have considered:
That people going to hell drag as many other people to hell with them as possible.
And vice versa.

So far I haven’t seen one person agree with Dave. Many people are writing these long posts explaining why he’s wrong just so he can take one verse out of context then get them going again. If he was interested in convincing anyone he was correct he would respond with long posts clearly pleading his case. He’s not. He’s just like a child getting the other kids all wound up. It’s a game. He’s got nothing better to do. It’s pointless responding to him. He already admitted he doesn’t even read them. My guess is that he laughing about how worked up people get. I’m surprised I’m still posting in this thread because I’ve got lots to do. Be blessed.

Yea, I kind of thought that from the conversations I've seen him in, but this was my first time trying and you're right, he can't be reasoned with. Just likes to argue with no purpose. Foolish.

Law does not allow for hatred. God hates the wicked. eg.
You're ridiculous man and need to grow up some. Gods "hates" with perfect righteous indignation because the love of sin would contradict itself, God does not transgress HJis law and your foolish arrogant self is suggesting God breaks His own nature? Just to win a "debate" in your own head? When in the very last comment you made before this you said, Quote "If God can sin, the Law is God, not him."

See how contradictory you are? God can't sin but He can transgress His own law? You're just confused and have no idea what you're talking about. At All. I see no fruit to be gained continuing in this discussion, but I am going to leave you with this, the fruit you display here, the way you are, does not reflect on Jesus well at all, and His children do sometimes. I see none in you, only causing chaos, never any fruit of the Spirit. Just think about it.

You try to hold God accountable to the same Law he gave you. But he's much more than that and the Law cannot address his other attributes. Only sinful man's attributes.

If God can sin, the Law is God. And he abolished the Law replacing it with the New Covenant showing he is not subject to it.
You speak a false dichotomy. Your premises are all wrong from the get go. You reach the wrong conclusion because you’re wrong from the outset.

You start by saying, “If God can sin.” He can’t. So then your conclusion is, therefore “The Law is God.” Again, A to B doesn’t work here, because premise one is false. He can’t sin, and neither is the Lord the Law.

What you speak is grievous, and I do not know who has taught you, but they have led you astray. The Old Covenant has led you to Christ, for it exposed your sins and showed you your need for a savior.

God’s law is a reflection of His character, His nature. Yet also in it were ordinances only applicable to mankind. The Law contained civil law (laws for Israel as a nation), ceremonial laws (for worship and cleanliness, priests), and the moral law (right and wrong). As you can imagine the moral law is a reflection of God’s nature. If anyone would suggest subjectivity to the Law of Moses for God, it would be based on the moral law because God cannot sin and the moral law defined sin. Yet, God is not under the law as one who can break it, and even when the Lord went under it (Jesus, as man) He was without sin.

The Law is not God, but God gave the Law to bring men to Christ. The moral law is a reflection of God’s righteous nature. God does not break the moral law because the moral law is a reflection of who He is. Righteous.

If you wish to speak of subjectivity, this is like saying water is subject to wetness. What? Water is wet. It is. God being righteous is who He is.

Side note: The Old Testament is a covenant, and God was subject to that covenant. He had to do His part and Israel had to do their part. Blessings for obedience, curses for disobedience.

I understand what you’re saying here. Who can judge God? He Himself has revealed who He is, and He is accountable to His word. This is why God is not a liar. It is not that we or anyone can judge God, but God has revealed Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Accountability with God, is not outward. Right? God is God, He is accountable to Himself. There is no one above the Lord. This is why He teaches us in His word to let our yes be “yes” and our no be “no.” Let our word stand. God is not a liar.

Again, the only standard we have to “ judge” God by is the standard revealed in His nature. A nature He does not contradict. He is righteous and holy. If He has made a promise, for example, He will fulfill it. No question about it. He will not let His word fall to the ground.

It’s ironic that men would try to judge God based upon the standards given to them by God. They have no other standard, righteous standard, than the one originating from God. 😅

But people ignore God's hatred of sinners. His wrath. and many attributes that are the opposite of love.

You misunderstand. God loves every soul He has created with the same love, His perfect love. Now God's holiness cannot abide sin. God's wrath abides on sin. If a man will not forsake his sin he is bound with his sin and will suffer eternal condemnation.

If it were not for God's mercy all men would be eternally condemned. God's mercy extends the opportunity of forgiveness to every soul God has created. Every Calvinist was saved as an Arminian because Calvinists cannot believe in the choice to be saved.

Thank God for His mercy and grace.

Scripture disproves this many times over.
How can God hate sinners and love them at the same time?

“There is no abstract sin that can be hated apart from the person in whom that sin is represented and embodies. It is the sinner who is punished, not the sin. ” A. H. Strong; (Systematic Theology, p.290f)

“Of such (sinners - the foolish, and more especially the foolish boasters :)... Such men Jehovah hates: for if He did not hate evil, His love would not be a holy love,” ... “And His soul hates the evildoer and him that delights in the violence of the strong against the weak. And the more intense this hatred, the more fearful will be the judgments in which it bursts forth. ” (Psalms, Vol.5, pp.122, 189) Franz Delitzsch.

A few examples;

“The LORD trieth the righteous: But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.” Psalm 11:5 (KJV 1900)

Leviticus 20:23: “And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nations which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.”

Leviticus 26:14-30: “If ye will not hearken unto Me, and will not do all these commandments; And if ye shall despise My statutes, or if your soul abhor My judgments, so that ye will not do all My commandments, but that ye break My covenant, I also will do this to you... And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary to Me; Then I will walk contrary to you in fury... I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcasses upon the carcasses of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. ”

Of course you cannot comprehend the love of God. You read scripture with a heart that is too hard to understand the mercy of God.

God is able to hate sin and love the man whom He created. God is able because He is God and not man. His ways are beyond our ways.

God hates sinners. He kills them en masse. Look at his 4 sore judgments in history and right now, killing millions he certainly does not love.

Ezekiel 33:

14 Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;

15 If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.

16 None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

17 Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.

18 When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.

19 But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.

20 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal ...

You stumble at what you know not. God is full of mercy and longsuffering toward the lost. Calvinists see only harsh judgment and overlook the mercy of God. You forget that you were at one time afar off and an enemy of God.

God wants us to show mercy to our enemies and His. We are to pray for them to be saved.
