Even Mary said, “Whatever He (Jesus) tells you to do, do it!”
Jesus said:
The hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father is spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24).
And this brings us back to the scripture:
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (John 17:17).
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word (Psalm 119:9).
A man does not cleanse his way by proper interpretation, or having a correct view of scripture, but by taking
heed unto it.
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye
withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition he received of
us. (2 Thessalonians 3:6).
And this tradition is from the apostles in their inspired letters, the scriptures. He does not tell us to withdraw from every brother who does not properly interpret the scriptures. He does not say withdraw from every brother with the wrong view of scripture. He says withdraw from every brother who walks
disorderly. Hence, not obeying the commandments of the Lord delivered by the apostles.
For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus (1 Thessalonians 4:2).
