“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:17 (KJV 1900)

“It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.” Lamentations 3:22 (KJV 1900)

“But thou art the same, And thy years shall have no end.” Psalm 102:27 (KJV 1900)

“I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: For I am God, and not man; The Holy One in the midst of thee: And I will not enter into the city.” Hosea 11:9 (KJV 1900)

“And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.” 1 Samuel 15:29 (KJV 1900)

“For I am the LORD, I change not; Therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6 (KJV 1900)

Etc., etc.
Those verses, as requested, to be presented in context of the full passage, that which proves your claims about , "God's unchangeable decree....", are not what was requested of you.
You are a Calvinist. I think this will help us to understand your what you are about.

It was the reason they repented. Are you saying God LIED?
You're saying God lied.

Comparing our beliefs to a Manson cult...

says this in post 386 to me even though I did not say anything about Manson

but notice he states OUR beliefs...meaning Calvinists

states he is not a Calvinist

but states OUR Calvinist beliefs

you can't make this stuff up
Sure he can.
Just look at the tragic effort he's made thus far. His own double talk, because he is not sincere here at all, has exposed him. And rather quickly too.

You're saying God lied.
You don't understand the bible in these matters. Perfect cannot change to imperfection. God knows all perfectly = he doesn't learn by watching.

It was God’s will that Nineveh should be overthrown in forty days until they responded to the word of destruction and repented. Since they repented, God changed His mind. That’s Bible. God has authority to change his mind.

There are a few passages that states that God will not change His mind, and everyone of these have to do with His long term plans for the nation of Israel.
It was not God's will or they would not have repented.

Scripture is straight forward. Please don’t add to Scripture to make it fit your agenda.

Jonah 3
1 And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.
4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:
8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

God used the threat to make them repent.

Sooooo God uses lies to get people to repent? That’s what you are saying.

Did you lose you Bible recently?
Do you think God lied? Or after reading the whole passage, do you think destruction depended on the threat and their response to it?

Their destruction depended on their choice; "To repent, or not to repent? That is the question." Pretty simple when you don't have a big stick in your eye.

But scripture says God works repentance in us. Who gets the glory? God who causes sinners to repent? Or the sinners who repent?
