The same destiny overtakes all.
(Ecclesiastes 9:3)

the dust returns to the ground it came from,
and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
(Ecclesiastes 12:7)
existence is eternal, because it derives from the Eternal One who created you.
whether we rise to eternal life or to eternal death -- as God defines life and death -- hinges on being found in Christ.

Uhh, soles don't have everlasting life. They wear out after awhile.

SOULS, however, DO have everlasting life, as long as they have been saved by faith and belief in Jesus.

lol it's true, if you are going to spell 'have' as 'haft' then you are supposed to drop the 't' if it's followed by a word that begins with a 't'

  • have to
    • correct
  • haft to
    • too many t's
  • haf to
    • acceptable ((colloquial))
  • haff to
    • also acceptable ((colloquial))

no offense :)

YOU say that the lost have everlasting life
no, i do not say that.
i say the both the lost and the saved have everlasting existence

existence is not the same as life. you can exist in a state of life and you can exist in a state of death. stop thinking about existing and living as though they are equivalent. Christ came so that we might have life - what does He mean by life? does he mean your flesh being born and living 60 or 120 years? did nobody ever do that before 1 AD? or did He mean so that we can exist? did no one exist before He came?

Where in the BIBLE dose the BIBLE say the lost have immortality ???? I can tell you it DON'T !!!!!
Abraham yielded the spirit, and died in a good age, an old man, and of great years, and was gathered to his people.
(Genesis 25:8)
And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred thirty and seven years, and he yielded up the spirit, and died, and was gathered unto his people.
(Genesis 25:17)

I want where the BIBLE says ???

There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’
But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’
He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’
Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’
‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’
He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’
(Luke 16:19-31)
both this rich man and Lazarus continue to exist after their bodies return to dust. they both have eternal existence.
this beggar has life. this rich man has death.

let's be clear that the 'that' is that just like the saved, the lost have eternal existence -- the lost do not have eternal life.
existing and having life are not the same thing.

Luke 12

4 “And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!

Bud - what do you think the above scripture means?

Hi Bud, those who are saved have everlasting life. Those who have faith and belief in Jesus, have had their salvation eternally secured. WE receive immortality when we die and are raised again and given a glorified, perfect eternal body. Jesus was immortal, yet also mortal when He lived on earth. WE however are mortals in a fallen world.

I say that after HE has killed them once ,HE will bring them back from the dead, to punish for their sin .

For God so loved the world, He gave His one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not die but have everlasting life.

where does it say it is a parable?

even if it is - and that's a big if - in fact wouldn't a person be calling God a liar if they insisted that His parables are based in impossible fantasy instead of reality?

Luke 23
42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Bud, this is the account of the thief on the cross. What does Jesus mean by the word "Today"? Did the thief die that day? Where did Jesus go that day? (Day number 1 of 3 in the tomb)

Let's get to the bottom of this.....
