there is truly nothing to indicate in scripture that Jonah expired while in the
big fish

Jonah 2:5-7 strongly suggests to me that he drowned prior to being
swallowed by the big fish. Jesus was dead before his body was entombed;
viz: neither man was buried alive.

Sheol or hades.
Its not a precedent- how do you know its not?
We are not talking about it...we are talking about the possibility of one soul in sheol later escaping sheol/hades should God decide.
Sheol (Hebrew) is Hades (Greek). One and the same.
Jonah being saved from Sheol is so because the Word of God says so.

So is there is a possibility that one soul from sheol/hades can escape sheol/hades if God decided to?

KJV is getting this wrong consistently. NKJV gets it right.
Hell is the correct English word for the Hebrew Sheol and Greek hades. I speak English and the correct word is hell whether people like it or not. NKJV is a false version and cannot be trusted.

The Book of Revelation proves you are mistaken in this errant proclamation of yours.
Rather than provide the chapters as anyone doing so thus far have had no success in leading you to understanding contrary to your own missives, I'll direct you instead to the Book of Revelation. Wherein we are told NO ONE is yet in Hell.
And add a warning from that Book. If you add to that or deny that, you are condemned.
"And if anyone should take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, of those having been written in this book."
Wow! I’m supposed to listen to someone who does not believe people have died and gone to hell? Thanks for the warning. Btw, you don’t even believe we have the book, so what does that command really matter. Oh boy.

God - Is - Sovereign

And it's not "escape" but rather delivered from.
Ok let me rephrase-
A sinful soul in sheol/hades can be delivered from sheol/Hades if the soul of the dead body prayed and God decide to?

The Bible never uses the word hell to describe any earthly suffering. You minimize hell when you do that. Hell is a real place in the heart of the earth. Hell has literal fire and torment. Being in a whale's belly is no comparison whatsoever. If the only thing we read was the bible, we would never come up with these silly comparisons from these silly commentaries.
I would offer. According to the secular world as those who wrestle against flesh and blood and not the unseen spiritual things in high places yes, as those who walk by sight. That would be the silly to walk by sight . Christ in us gives us his faith to see the unseen will of God.

They created a vision of hell that the secular world uses to instill the fear of man is a living suffering. like that given to Cain who killed the first martyr. When God cursed the earth after the first murder of the god of this world .

Most doctrines have there foundation as a law in Genesis, and the doctrine of hell would not seem to be any different.

The heart of the corrupted of earth is the curse that totally corrupted the whole creation. All things did not produce what it was originally designed to do. The glory of God had departed. The whole creation today cries out in pains to be delivered from the bondage of decay.

Cain who knew not God walked by sight . He as a result declared; "My punishment is greater than I can bear". That describes hell a punishment greater than we can bear.

Christ in the Son of man Jesus bore that punishment in out place. Cain knew it was the death penalty as the wrath of God revealed from heaven on mankind. In his agony the fear of man overwhelmed him and said its instant death whoever finds me will kill .But the Holy Spirit assigned a number as a mark the spirit of judgment (666). To make sure Cain finished the whole death sentence a punishment more than he could bear .A restless wanderer having no faith to rest in .

Jesus in the garden of Gethemenane was given the rest needed to strengthen him to finish that work. Three times as a work of the father and Son, as one God.

The belly of the whale, the tribulations we suffer in this life.

Genesis 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

Above describes the corrupted heart of the earth as result of the curse crying out to be clothed with the incorruptible.

.Below the suffering of death. . The cause of the curse...it yields death in respect to our bodies of decay .

And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.Genesis 4: 11-12

And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. Genesis 4:13-15

Again the curse a punishment greater than we can bear. Christ bore our sin as the sin bearer. We are in the last days of tribulation. I offer we look to Christ for our comfort and remind us of what he has taught us. I would suggest not Hollywood as a false source of faith, as visionaries described in Colossian 2:18 . Seeing things not there puffed up by their fleshly minds.

Jesus was a Jew. Mary and Joseph were Jews. The Old Testament in our Bible is of the Jews.
Wow! I learned something today.
Are u not confused?
Is it hot in there or overflowing with flood?
Sorry it’s taken awhile, getting treatment at moffitt cancer center. All is good.

Psalm 16 is certainly a reference to Jesus.

10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalm 88 fits Jonah and the Lord.
6 Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.
7 Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.

Psalm 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

Psalm 69
13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
15 Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

Drowning under a flood has long been the description of God’s judgment.

Sounds like the delima according to the parable in Luke 16. The rich man that is used to represent unbelief in faithless mankind. He was informed he could not commune with the dead (necromancy) twice to emphasize the law not subject to be changed . Impossible for either to travel to another. He said: if they his brothers do not hear the law and the prophets as all things written. from Genesis through revelation (the gospel) Then they will not believe the doctrine of hell .

Not having the faith to hear the God of the scriptures . The rich man acts like he heard nothing .Which he did not. Again the Holy Spirit described the proper way for hearing God.as it is written

Therefore do not chase after workers with familiar spirits as the departed dead .or what Catholics must call patron saints a legion . .(3500 and rising) They have no spirit life and therefore no voice. Come into the light of the gospel . Christ is the way. And again not the way of the dead. They know nothing, hear nothing. . as bones being consumed by corruption

The Jews didn't believe in Jesus as well. Does that mean Jesus isn't real? It makes no difference what the Jews believe or didn't believe. What saith the Scriptures is what counts.
Besides your clear contempt for Jews, your second proclamation is clearly not true. If what saith the scriptures is what counts to you, you would not demonstrate repeatedly that what they say matters not a bit in comparison to what you insist they really mean to say.

Ok let me rephrase-
A sinful soul in sheol/hades can be delivered from sheol/Hades if the soul of the dead body prayed and God decide to?
We look at the facts.
1) Jonah ran from God's command to witness to Nineveh (sin)
2) Jonah swallowed by a fish. Fish live under water. Fish don't have economy class bubble seats and their own airconditioning.
3) Jonah dies within the fish (in fact it says belly of the fish). Not some Lung. A belly. An acidic environment. I would in fact not even give Jonah 2 minutes of life - and I am being generous here. Ever dived to any reasonable depth on a single breath (assuming Jonah had the opportunity to take a breath). You don't go down very far before the pressure on your lungs and system, and the panic set in. Holding your breath on the surface (untrained) maybe 2 mins at best. Down there....halve it.
4) Now what to do with the remaining 2 days 23 hours and 59 minutes? Circa of course. Did Jonah pray in the minute he still had consciousness, i.e the first minute? Or did he pray sometime in an unconscious state during those 3 days in the acidic belly of the fish?
5) Or did he in fact pray from his Soul? Do we take Jonah's account of being in Sheol? His account of going down below the roots of the mountains? His account of the Earthly with its bars (Jail-Sheol) closing in behind him? Him being delivered from the pit? How did the large fish go below the mountains with the earth closing behind it? Was it a catfish? Maybe Jonah could hold the world record for freediving. Perhaps Herbert Nietzsche doesn't really hold this record at all.

Nah....I will go with this soul having departed his body (as do all souls upon the death of a person). I will also go with Jonah's repentance, God's hearing, and God's deliverance). I will also go with Jonah's testimony as it is written. I will also go with Jesus account of the sign of Jonah, wherein Jesus died for 3 days, went to Sheol, and was resurrected alive. Just like Jonah.

Will God do it again? Someone mentioned Samuel being raised and addressing Saul (his spirit and not bodily) So there is more than one occasion that God has done this. There were a large number of people resurrected in the 40 days after Jesus resurrection. So the Bible is literally abounding with examples of those who have left Sheol (in this latter instance it was Abraham's Bosom).

Will God do it again (from Sheol)? I don't know. I don't think so. But God is God and He is sovereign.

As I said, all Christians here know the Book of Revelation. You do not.
And no, you're not expected to listen to someone who knows that no one is yet in Hell, and that knowledge is due to her reading the Bible.

What really should matter is that you're here wasting your time messing with Christians that read their Bible. That is what you believe your time is worth.
When every Christian you think you're messing with indulges your game because they imagine they actually might get through and help you to realize your condition as a sinner, and think to save yourself through sincere repentance.
They believe that is worth their time.

Me?
I have a rather keen memory that lets me to recall behaviors. And many weeks ago a dear member of our Moderator team made a thread calling out a Troll that was later banned. She felt bad for doing this later and yet her effort unmasked said troll and they were no longer permitted to indulge their dark agenda within our community.
That person's posting style was exactly like yours. Regardless of your having a four year old account, many Trolls I've come to learn open many accounts as standby's should one of them be banned in a place they like to harass.

I mean this with all Christian charity.

Your thinking this is worth your time tells me you're young and think you have a lot of time ahead of you. Only God knows how long you'll live. But what a shame should you perish tomorrow not knowing Christ, and leaving your pathetic intentions and words here as the last evidence of what you believed you are, and what you were certain you should spend precious moments of your limited time doing.

I'm going to ignore you now. I know your soul is worth more than you demonstrate you believe of its worth.
And I certainly know my time is worth more than feeding what lives inside you.

Find Christ!
Find peace.

Differentiating between psalms 16 as for Jesus and 88 fits Jonah and Jesus,
Does not make you right.
Luk 24:44 KJV And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
See it all concern Jesus...
If you refer other soul other than Jesus concerning him in the prophecy/psalms. Thats putting another Holy One...Jesus is the only one.
Even david in his psalm refer to the Lord.

I love the Jewish people. All I said is what they think is of no concern when it comes to the Bible. They wrote it, yes, but under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It’s not there personal thoughts.

well actually that depends on which side of this life/death, literal/poetic, skirmish one resides on

if you wish to compare in this manner, maybe strike up a conversation with Lazurus instead

he actually was dead and resurrected by Jesus

there is truly nothing to indicate in scripture that Jonah expired while in the big fish

I mean I just read that some think it was a Great White....

I had a strong reaction to identify with the word 'nope' right at that moment
That instant reaction of nope was probably correct.
I don't know why God couldn't prepare a unique fish designed specifically for the purpose of swallowing Jonah.

Wow! You don’t even know me. If you did, even through my posts, I never insult anyone like you just did and play God. I’ve known the Lord almost my entire life. I am one of those people who believe every word of God is pure and holy. I read and study much of my day, going on reading the word 30 times now all the way through. I’m a KJV only, dispensation believing, rightly dividing maniac. If I perish tomorrow, I will be absent from the body and present with the Lord. I take hell literally. It’s a place of fire and torment for those waiting to stand before the GWTJ where they will be judged guilty and cast into the lake of fire. Does this offend people? I guess so, but I don’t apologize.

It was a bit harsh IMO. Especially considering what he is going though as indicated on the following post.
