Responsibility with God's Grace

R-- Read and learn the Bible. (See 2 Timothy 16-17.)

E-- Frequently enter the Holy of Holies in order to be Holy Spirit sensitive. (See Hebrews 10:19-25.)

S-- Search the New Testament especially for the 1050 commandments. (Need to know what pleases God.)

P-- Pursue righteousness or Christ-likeness. (See Ephesians 4:11-16.)

O-- Observe good leaders about how they are responsible in both speech and actions.

N-- Need to frequently remember all of God’s Grace in our lives and be more thankful for such.

S-- Be obedient to the Holy Spirit’s urging for your Sanctification.

I-- Intellectualism is not very important compared to Christian Sanctification.

B-- Bible understanding and obeying is so important.

I-- Immersion into doing our Ephesians 2:10 parts for the Great Commission is so important.

L-- Loving with compassion everyone. (In what ways do you do such, even for enemies?)

T-- Teaching others spiritual truths when Holy Spirit urged. (He has perfect timing.)

Y-- Yeshua is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, keep obeying His wonderful teachings.

Yes, holding steadfast is the key. Grace is the offer, but receiving it unto reward is the challenge. A Christian must constantly keep himself in check in order to make the grade himself (not fall from grace), be fruitful, and please God. Even though rectitude & gaining converts are not required for salvation, as grace is free, these are disciplines that if not desired and taken seriously, will put your own standing at risk, as slothfulness, indifference and complacency will eventually undermine and erode whatever conviction and fortitude you may have formally had.
Your acrostic is a great manual on holding steadfast, remaining disciplined, edifying and sanctifying oneself, convincing others, being grateful, and pleasing God!
Thank you!

Did you know that grace teaches us to live soberly, righteously, and godly?

Titus 2:

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world

Paul warned us in Rom 6:1 that grace is not a license to sin.

Just because some people misconstrue what grace is does not mean that grace is not a powerful teacher ... leading us in the way of living godly.

against Grace Only preaching
Since there are numerous *Christians* who do not really understand salvation by grace through faith, the preacher's first responsibility is to make this crystal clear from Scripture.
At the same time the necessity of repentance must be proclaimed. And that will ensure that every hearer of the Gospel understands that grace must lead to holiness and righteousness, and the forsaking of sins and idols.

We are saved by grace, our Eternal Father's mercy. And , providing we contine in faith we are saved.

Now our faith keeps us in God's grace , and because of our faith we receive His works to do, demonstrating our true faith, and not some treasure buried in the dirt.

Do not fear you are not receiving works from Him for works begin with waiting on the Lord, believing Him aand conduction oneself accordingly.

Not all are apostles, not all are healers, not all are given tp prophcy, though all who know Jesus Christ is Lord possess the spirit of prophecy (rev.),. Do you pray? Works. Do you execute acts of kindness simply because of your faith? works again.
Works of God from Him are not all show stoppoers for TV evangelists, nope being a God'fearing Mom or Po is works.

Do not seell yourself short ever,, you believe in the gift of faith and work to increase so, works. God bless all the workers of our Father, amen, and remember faith without works is no faith at all.

If not for grace, we could do nothing

these people that think they can “earn” anything from god by their deeds boggle my mind, they have yet to be trained by the law to know how bancrupt “poor in spirit” they need to become so they can recieve grace and stop trying to earn it

Perhaps Eph 2:8-9 is missing from their bible? Or maybe they just don't bother with the bible at all?

To those that say the OP is saying we can earn something from God or that he believes in salvation by works, can you show where in post #1 that you get this?

Yeah, I can see how you can get the idea from "Against Grace Only Preaching" that this thread might be a works mentality: Maybe one should not pick inflammatory titles?

Critics - Which of the above points in the acrostic are unbiblical?

By Grace Through Faith
Eph 2:1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
Eph 2:2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
Eph 2:3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
Eph 2:6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Eph 2:7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Eph 2:9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

When our Father moves on a person by the Holy Spirit to be used as an instrument of His will i any gift of works, it is the person availing himself being used by God only, not the person simply deciding to do God a favor. Noman can do any favor for God, not eve n those here who refuse to understand workds are from god, not from His servants.

Here is an example of a work done by a willing vessel. While sharing the Word with an eager listener a man was given something to say by the hOLY sPIRIT. The person to whom he was speaking had a very strong southern accent, US of course,, and the person sharing the Godpel said on impetus of the Holy Spirit, "Wen you return to you place of birth, Haifa (in Israel), do share this good news with any and all. The person hearing thw declaration dropped the mouth o0pen and eyes wide, and said, "How did you know I was bornin Haifa?" Response, "God told me."

The above is a gift of knowledge given a willing vessel to underscore the truth of the message being shared. That gift of knowledgehad nothing even approaching working for a reward, itwas simply being available. Try being available, and yiou too will experience this same type of "works" from God, never from us. Now those who avail themselves will never say to God they have done anything for Him but hey do thank Him for HIs grace continueally, amen.
