Keep in mind that Jesus kept the law because He was under the law.
(Please understand the context.)
The mosaic law was "in effect" until Jesus died on the cross. When the veil was rent (Mark 15:38), it marked the end of the law as being necessary for/in the "practice" of faith. (Colossians 2:14)
Gary, thanks for responding. This topic your bringing up is outside the realm of the thread, it's best suited for a new thread. We can agree to disagree? I can't resist though.
The two verses you listed says, nothing about the law ending. Does it?
Colossians:
14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.
Mark 15:38
The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
Let's take a quick look at what Jesus said....
Mathew 5:17
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
Would this verse indicate that the Law or the Prophets has ended?
What does the Law say?
Exodus 20:8
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Why would God write on stone the word "Remember", put it in a golden box, put the box in the Holy of Holies, that is inside God's Temple, on God's Temple Mount? So we can forget it? I say, it would be wise to remember!
Mathew 5:18-19
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches
them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
