Mrs. Grace, calling me Mr. Feels weird, you can just say Pony if ya like.
So this is a bit of a fun anecdote, from my troubled youth years. So when I was in High school I had a teacher called Mrs. Bean, she was my physiology teacher. One day when I was feeling particularly crass, I said why do we get called by our first names while all the teachers are called Mr or Mrs whether they deserve respect or not. She called Mr. from that day forward. Man was I puffed up in my pride. Now it just feels weird.
Good to know Pony! :)

I think people just want to sin and not have to pay the consequences. So they can have sex all they want, if they get prego. The just kill the baby, its my life and my body.

Its the self centered generation. Which the left and socialism thrives on.
Sorry, no that's Satan thrives on. Don't you think he and his confederate former angels, are both on both sides. The Left is just more obvious.

bailing on that principle alone doesn’t seem logical for even them are in desperate need

I want the faith you have, and I say that respectfully and sincerely because where I am in life at this moment, I have no problem belittling and chastising mouthpieces of infanticide. That said, make no mistake, I do indeed pray for such people. God has obviously turned around even the most wretched, and he is to be glorified for it.

Exactly and more truth here than most people realize.

The woman that is being spoken of in this thread uses her position as a public platform to extol the virtues of murdering babies.
I think we should all be a little indignant about that. I also think that we should call it what it is.
And that she should be called out for what she is doing.

I dearly hope from God above that if I am found in the commission of egregious sin, that someone calls me on what I'm doing. That someone says Chad! That thing that you are doing is sin and this is why, and you need to repent.
Because it is conviction from the word of truth that causes people to repent.
And I'll know that when I do repent and I look around and I see the people that enabled me and did not call me out on what I was doing wrong and did not offer me correction and did not offer me the opportunity to repent. That those people hate me. because it is absolutely not love to allow someone to go on in their sin and not call them to repentance and not speak out against the thing that they were doing.

Who has belittled anyone? This woman has said "Yes, I know what the Bible says, but I'm going to do what suits me." She actively advocates for abortion. She is being called for it. Simple as that.

we are all God's kids

No, the Bible doesn't say that. Those that follow Him are His "kids".

but some seem to think their are better

You're making a judgement call.

I thought this thread was about Alyssa Milano and her politically correct un-Godliness ??
Apparently it was created to advocate murder.. there is seemingly some shock that were aren't falling all over ourselves to join in and hack up our own children into pieces.

You don’t know me very well.
No, I don't know you. But it seemed the complaint in the preceding page or two, was over the thread respondents being critical of the woman in the article for having the abortions in the first place.

I thought the person criticising the thread respondents was the creator of the OP, and so that that misconception I do apologize to you.

But the criticism of the respondents began appearing more and more just being critical of those who believe abortion is wrong, since I didn't see a lot of unduly harsh comments overall.

Abortion is always going to be a highly emotive issue.
I work in health care and have had to care for women before & after an abortion. The only thing we can do is give them all possible options and are not allowed to influence them. This can be a struggle sometimes, but that is my job and my legal obligation to the patient. I'm not there to judge them. As health carers, we look after all sinners - murderers, post abortion women, paedophiles, criminals, etc.
I don't think anyone can know how scary it is to find out you have an unplanned pregnancy, at any age. Being very young would send you into a panic. Those who have very religious parents don't tell them, or fear a backlash from their friends etc. Of course the only way to stop pregnancy is to abstain, so I think Ms Milano's excuse is a little lame, very naive childish. You should not be having sex shortly after an abortion; that can be very dangerous, and of course contraception fails - none of it is guaranteed to be 100% fool proof. I also don't believe that nobody should ever not take contraception. Having too many babies is also very dangerous for your health.
Since legal abortion is law where I live, I as a health carer must follow the law. If abortion wasn't allowed, the consequences can be devastating - believe me, I've cared for women who nearly died from not having sterile abortions, and many around the world today still do. Allowing abortion is a 'way out' for being irresponsible for alot of women, though some may have just forgotten to take their OCP or thought their time of the month was OK to have sex. Whatever the reasons or endless arguments re abortion, I think that if someone chooses to have an abortion they should not be judged, but just given all the supoort and encouragement to help them make the right decision. If they change their mind, & decide not to abort, they should also be given heaps of support and encouragement to be brave and have that child.
Perhaps if we weren't so adamant re NOT having abortions, and being overly judgemental, more women/kids would open up re their pregnancies and talk to us at least - get a conversation started re pregnancy and everything else - then they would choose not to have an abortion.

Alyssa Milano, 46, revealed in the latest episode of her podcast this week that she made the “devastating” decision to have two abortions while in a serious relationship in 1993.

Milano, who was in her early 20s and had just finished working on "Who's the Boss?" at the time, said she knew she wasn't ready to be a mother, according to People.

"I chose. It was my choice,” she said on “Alyssa Milano: Sorry Not Sorry.” “And it was absolutely the right choice for me.”

Milano said she was using birth control both times she found out she was pregnant.

“It was not an easy choice,” continued Milano, who is a vocal pro-choice advocate. “It was not something I wanted, but it was something that I needed, like most health care is.”

“It was devastating,” she admitted. “I was raised Catholic and was suddenly put in conflict with my faith. A faith I was coming to realize empowered only men to make every single decision about what was allowed and what was not allowed.”

She said she found out she was pregnant for a second time just months after her first abortion.

“I had done what I knew to do to prevent pregnancy and was still pregnant, so once again I made the right decision to end that pregnancy,” she said.

Milano said she looks back on the decision without regret.
“I would not have my children [Elizabeth, 4, and son Milo, 7] — my beautiful, perfect, loving, kind and inquisitive children who have a mother who was so very, very ready for them,” she said.

“I would not have my career. I would not have the ability or platform I use to fight against oppression with all my heart. I would never have met my amazing husband, David, whose steadfast and immeasurable love for me sustains me through these terrifying times," according to
Last spring, Milano called for a Hollywood boycott and “sex strike” in Georgia to protest a heartbeat bill passed in the state.
Doesnt make sense she said she did what she knew to do to prevent pregnancy but preventing preganancy does not mean doing the stuff that makes you pregnant, but just taking a drug to stop it or wearing a condom. Thats like trying to stop traffic by wearing a flourescent vest.

Of course, people ought not to believe in anything an actor or actress says, because they pretend and lie for a living!

I think people ought to have more education in this area, and parents need to tell their children just how babies are made. Obviously ms milano just didnt undertand this one when she was young. And probably didnt tell her parents either.

In hollywood, abortions are a thing like having a root canal. Sometimes the studios sponsor them. That is what they used to do in the old days. The weird thing is they need to have fake pregancies for characters in Their movies and then ask hospitals to provide real newborn babies for the birth scenes.

It's called reproductive system, not "I do what I want then kill babies when they occur" system. Should be handled with great responsibility, because it has great consequences. It's widely known that hormonal birth control doesn't work for all women, so why are you putting all your hopes into it and do not even consider backup methods, especially after you saw it didn't work out for you... but backup methods, that would be an inconvenience I guess and we can't have even a minor inconvenience. Second abortion? I've no ears for their boohoos. I really get annoyed at these things. It's not how family planning is done. The amount of precaution and abstinence should be directly proportional with how disastrous would the pregnancy be for you. If you absolutely cannot accept the slightest chance of having children then abstinence it is.

I'm not sure this topic needs to be in the Bible study room.
