He, of course accepts us. But can anyone explain how He accepts us and why?

He accepts us as His adopted children, when we come into agreement with Him, that we are lost and in need of a Saviour.

Why are you starting other threads on the same subject? If I'm not mistaken this is your third thread? And of course Jesus Christ accepts us. Read Revelation 3:20, "Behold I stand at the door and knock, (The door to your heart) if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him and he with Me." And He accepts us because He loves us, it's that simple.

IN GOD THE SON,

Are you saying by Faith?

Is repentance the act of Faith that saves?

Faith is believing

Repentance is a change of mind away from dead works/sin towards Christ

All this is because of what Jesus did.

I really think that "accept" is probably not a great word to use in context of salvation.

Accept is the perfect word when we understand the aapplication of Faith correctly.

The word Faith is a noun, pistis in the Greek. The corresponding verb to Pistis is pisteuo. The English language has no corresponding verb to the noun Faith like the Greek does for pistis. The words the English language should have had for the translators are faithe, faither, and faithing. Since those words are not available to the translators, they chose the words believe, believing, and believer.

When they did this they changed the object of Faith to God's word and His promises instead of in God Himself, a real living person.

Where is "accept" in all this?

Where is "accept" in all this?
That's one of the right questions.

This is why I've been trying to walk anyone interested in the Salvation process. It's important to establish certain things as we go.

I can show you where acceptance by God comes in with a little background first.

When we are born do you agree we don't have the Spirit of Christ in us yet?

Great.

The next
thing that needs to happen, the Father calls us out or draws us to Christ. Nobody comes to Christ unless the Father draws them, correct?

It's not important whether you understand is some are called or everyone is called, just that a this point in the Salvation process we must be called out by the Father.

Still in agreement?

Okay, where we are at this point is we are being called out by the Father, we don't have the Spirit of Christ yet. Do you agree that because we don't have the Spirit of Christ yet, Christ, His word, and the promises in His word are not ours yet either?

The is the last agreement we need to make my point.

The next thing that happens is an act of repentance. Repentance is simply a mental turning from one way to another way. Repentance, although alot of things have been added to it, it's really just turning from our way to the direction of the caller, God the Father.

We still at this point don't have the Spirit of Christ, so Christ,His word, and the promises in His word are not ours to claim yet.

If we are still in agreement, were ready to fulfill our first act of Faith, pisteuo!

Pisteuo is an act, based upon a belief, sustained by confidence. We fulfill hundreds of acts of Faithing all day long. Each act of pisteuo is a specific act to a specific object of Faith.

In this case we are faithing towards him. The Vines defines pisteuo as " a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender". So our first step towards God or act of pisteuo is we offer our life and will over to God. We surrender our lives to Him!

This first surrendered life doesn't need to be perfect, just genuine. But it doesn't end at just that surrender. It's a specific surrender, based upon the belief God will accept the surrendered life, sustained by all the hundreds of daily decisions that support the fact our lives are not ours anymore.

At this point, we still don't have the Spirit of Christ. Christ is going to make a decision whether our surrender was genuine enough to move us forward in the Salvation process. The next phase, those accepted will enter into the parable of the sower phase of the journey. 3 out of 4 accepted surrendered lives will fail at that point. The one good soil will move forward.

Todays Church world has adopted the mistranslation, and is in effect claiming His Spirit, Christ,His word, and the promises in His word when none of those things are theirs yet. They think that they accept Christ after the repentant act, then emediately recieving His Spirit which is backwards. He accepts us, we don't accept Him!

In todays church world , they think they receive the Spirit of Christ before they enter the testing ground or parable of the sower. This means those 3 that fail would have the Spirit of Christ in them when they failed. None of us would agree with that.

Okay well I disagree here, not about surrendering our lives prior to receiving salvation.
That makes salvation an exchange, it is not, it is a gift. Period.

Salvation is by Grace through Faith. Grace is the free gift, we receive the free gift or unmerited favor by faith, by faithing, by pisteuo! A Continually surrendered life.

What you just said here reminded me something that happens all the time to my father. He is 73 years old. We came from another country to US ... My father does not speak English at all. When we walk down the street and my father sees a sign that says FREE, he thinks that the service or product offered is unpaid in return. But most of the time that is not what it means, but that the service or product is available to all without condition, but not unpaid. You must know better than me.

Same thing about salvation: is free, but we must give from ourselves to get it.

We you are in contradiction of scripture then.

Rom. 3:22 - God's righteousness is credited to "ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE," not all that work.

The Strong's Greek dictionary," pisteuo means NOT just to believe."
