The bible says that the only sin that cant be forgiven is denying God. So if I was fully against his belief and openly denied his existance but am not now then I will still go to hell?
Hello Katherine,
Your statememt: Quote ""I was fully against his belief and openly denied his existence but am not now""
Although a good start, doesn't quite pass the litmus test for forgiveness & salvation.
We must acknowledge our sins before God our creator. And place our faith/trust in Jesus Christ. Acts 20:24

Romans 10:
8 The word is near you, even in your mouth, & in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach
9 If you will confess with thy mouth that Jesus is Lord, & and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved
10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; & with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
(NOTE: God imputes/credits our faith/belief/trust in Jesus, with a declaration of righteousness. Salvation comes upon your heart felt confession, that Jesus, who was raised from the dead. Is your Lord & saviour)
11 For the scripture says, Whoever believes on Jesus shall not be ashamed.
(NOTE: Whoever BELIEVES! Places their FAITH in Jesus!)
12 There is no difference between the Jew & the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him
13 13 Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
(NOTE: Confess that Jesus died for your sins (paying your sins wage) was buried (proof he died) & rose from the grave (resurrection is the receipt, payment was received & accepted)
