All of the Bible points to God as the maker of heaven and earth and the giver of life. The first birth is physical. Everyone dies the first death. Those who are born again by grace through faith in Jesus' sacrificial death to atone for our sins and reconcile us to God, escape the second death. All others die the second death, and then death is destroyed as well. The perishable do not inherit eternal life. They perish, just as the Scriptures attest.

Since Sheol/Hades is defined as the place of departed spirits, how can you call it the grave? The Hebrew qeber and the Greek Mnemeion, are the correct words used to indentify grave, tomb and sepulcher. Sheol/Hades always refer to the place of departed spirits.

Sheol/Hades is a real place of pre-punishment under the earth, until the great white throne judgment, with the Lake of fire being the final destination of the unrighteous dead after they are resurrected out of Sheol/Hades.

First of all, it requires some study. I don't understand why so many people are always fighting against the truth of God's word.

For example, we know that Sheol is synonymous with Hades, i.e. they are same place, Sheol/Hebrew and Hades/Greek. Here is a simple example of how we know that:

A Prophecy regarding Jesus in Psalms 16:10

"For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay. - Psalms 16:10

Paul in Acts 2:25-27 quoting Psalms 16:10
"David says about Him:
‘I saw the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will dwell in hope, because You will not abandon my soul to Hades,
nor will You let Your Holy One see decay.

So, Paul quotes Psalms 16:10 but instead of using the word sheol, he uses Hades, because it is describing the same place in the Greek.

Now that we know that Sheol and Hades is the place where the spirits of the unsaved go at the time of death, we can now use the information about Hades to prove "that Sheol is a place of temporary Concious Torment." I say "temporary" because Sheol/Hades is a temporary place up until the great white throne judgment, where the unrighteous dead will be resurrected out of and be judged and thrown into the lake of fire.

For the proof, please read the event of "the rich man and Lazarus," where the rich man was/is in torment in flame.

So, no, I have not and do not repeat what others have taught, because no one has taught me. What I am proclaiming comes directly from the word of God and not from the teachings of men.

Along with being a prophecy concerning our LORD Psalm 16 is proclamation of faith and thanksgiving to the GOD from David in respect of himself also.
So in short Strong's says the Greek word hades and the Hebrew word sheol mean A place people go when they die. Not quite sure where you got those excerpts from but they are not Strong's actual entries. Here is his hades entry. Do you See the difference?

I highlighted in red the actual definition (understanding) of the Greek word. It is a compound word and means unseen. Which makes sense really as it continues to say a place of departed souls.

I highlighted in blue how the word was translated. Grave and hell. Which objectively speaking leaves a lot of subjectivity in regards to understanding and translating hades properly in a given context. It means unseen; in other words not known.
This is one sided. It leaves out the fact that the word was translated and understood to mean the place (state) of departed souls; the grave.
I don't know what site you copied and pasted those excerpts from but they are rather biased.
