People get sick and die each day.
We are given life, and life is also taken away at His will.

It seems to be some believe they should have good health, yet we all have weaknesses
and health imperfections, like the need for fillings, glasses, medical treatments, drugs for
pain, for memory, for health etc.

So in reality no one is in "perfect health", just relative good health.
And the miracles claimed are often pain relief, which is actually a perception issue.

And our struggles are not of the devil, but related to the curse of Adam after the fall.
We need to know His victory and walk in love and grace, and where He leads ask for
healing. The world you imagine is heaven on earth with super christians,
but there there is no sickness or sin or need for what you claim in heaven.

So it appeals to wealthy safe believers who want everything now, and no suffering
or struggles, while we follow Christ who calls us to share in His sufferings and pain
on behalf of the lost and those doomed to Hell, that some might be saved.
No one the early church healed never lost their healing.

Well, if you believe in divine health but only can get 30 fold or 60 fold of that, instead of 100 fold, its still better than believing that "sickness is used by God to teach you lessons" right? :)
Sickness at times may indeed be used by God as a means of discipline or training. After all, Paul prayed 3 times for God to remove the thorn in his flesh. God did not do this in his lifetime but only said that His grace was sufficient for Paul to accomplish his purpose in life despite the thorn, whatever it was.

God Is Like a Father

Be Careful How You Live
12 You have become weak, so make yourselves strong again. 13 Live in the right way so that you will be saved and your weakness will not cause you to be lost.

14 Try to live in peace with everyone. And try to keep your lives free from sin. Anyone whose life is not holy will never see the Lord. 15 Be careful that no one fails to get God’s grace. To me, a good Father is one that wants to see his children living in perfect health.
It would be better for the children to live in perfect spiritual health but then, that is not entirely possible either.

Why are you so certain that the thorn in flesh refers to sickness? You were taught that in churches correct?

Believe the word of God, confess the sins, receiving the Holy Spirit.
Gods word and the Holy Spirit in me tells me that i am saved. As a gift; which I never would have deserved.
And for my own expierience, He opend my heart and my eyes to confess my sins and receive him.

Looks like He likes to avoid the topic by attacking others. I know I already answered and I can see you have too.

I am not going to bother answering his false charges.

It is an indication that one's false beliefs have been exposed when they start attacking others and avoiding the main topic of the the thread.

One thing that really bothers me is when a Christian comes up to me and says, "you haven't been healed because you lack faith".
Boy, does that get me.
After they say it they put a pert, smug smile on their face because they feel no pain and you do.
You see, we have to claim our health and wealth and everything else because God wants us to have it all in this lifetime.

There are so many holes in this belief that I no longer know where to begin.
All I can say is that God is not a field of science for us to master.
Every time we think we know it all, we find that we really don't know it all.

I was once on the other side of this.
I saw too many preachers get rich and too many people stay sick.

Today we have more name it and claim it preachers (churches by many different names) than we ever had before.
Is there really a "name it and claim it" movement anywhere that is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

That is how you are coming across to me too.
I don't know about your English speaking culture but in mine, there is a difference between accepting a view and understanding the same view.

Just because I choose not to accept your view does not mean I have to misunderstand it. We can agree to disagree but to misunderstand someone's view is another matter altogether.

There is a problem here.
Peters healing of the man begging at the gate was unusual.
Paul and his healing as he preached later on again was unusual.

The healing miracles were so unusual by the next century the church leaders
do not refer to it as a ministry or special thing.

It is only in the 1900 do we start to see again the idea of healing ministries,
and demonstrations of Gods grace to evangelise.

That is a serious problem if one is claiming continuity of Gods working.
It is simply not there so the invention of this theology is false teaching.

God has always healed specially, but that is all.

No, you are making a false assumption. I was taught that in the bible.
I was not assuming, that was why I asked you.

Before I bring in the context of thorn in the OT, can you accept that thorn in the flesh need not have to mean a physical sickness? I am not asking you to believe that, just want to know whether you can accept that Paul was not necessarily talking about sickness.

As an example, if I were to write, "You are such a pain in my neck", do I literally mean you are afflicting my neck?
