HATH begotten us....
unto an inheritance

which is

incorruptible and undefiled

and that fadeth not away

reserved

kept by the power of God unto salvation

not by works....

by grace through faith and to him that works not... his faith is counted for righteousness

having not his own righteousness but the righteousness of Jesus Christ

it is so wonderful... the truth... untainted by doctrine of men which functions to cover Gods glory as if He doesnt finish what He starts
The doctrine is not of men NNM....
It's of God.
Jesus was God and He taught us what we need to know.
Stop following cute sayings and lies.

If you care to go over the above...
post the verse and we'll go over it together.

You Got it !

The only people that debate this are those that want to live in sin (different from sinning) and still think they're saved.

This is not what the N.T. teaches.

Jesus said IF YOU LOVE ME,,,you will obey my commandments (teachings)....
And my commandments are not burdensome.

Mathew 11:28-30 Jesus said:
28“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
29“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.
30“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Praise Jesus for taking OUR yoke upon Himself and giving us rest from strife.
well now I can safely EXIT this thread, lol.

Two threads you wont see me on: baptism, conditional/unconditional security debates.

EASILY SOLVED debates! Self-inflicted wounds of Christianity! Get baptized and instead of a pattern of disobedience have a pattern of obedience!

So the perfect obedience is of faith?
Yet you then add we obey?
Obey to what?

Faith or works?
Faith I say which leads to works, obeying Jesus.
Our faith will be obedient even if our works are not.
Lack of good works and lack non good works.
But those who have genuine faith will not be happy in either case and will seek to be more like Jesus.

You know better
What?
Please explain better.
I know I know better....
I've learned from two different churches and they taught exactly the same doctrine.
God does not lie...
MEN lie.

Are we supposed to NOT obey?

Could you tell me what the following mean?

John 12:47-50 Jesus said:
47If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
48“He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.
49“For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.
50I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.”

John 8:51 Jesus said:
51“Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he will never see death.”

What has the Holy Spirit placed in you?

That you could NOT OBEY God and STILL be saved?
That is NOT the Holy Spirit speaking to you my dear friend.

What does Romans 1:5 mean to you?

You've been hangin' with Dcon too much.
You even talk like he does.

Who were the other sheep Jesus was speaking about in
John 10:16

Who was the Wedding Banquet about?
Care to exegete that?

Mathew 22:1-13
1Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying,
2“The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son.
3“And he sent out his slaves to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, and they were unwilling to come.
4“Again he sent out other slaves saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened livestock are all butchered and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.”’
5“But they paid no attention and went their way, one to his own farm, another to his business,
6and the rest seized his slaves and mistreated them and killed them.
7“But the king was enraged, and he sent his armies and destroyed those murderers and set their city on fire.
8“Then he said to his slaves, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
9‘Go therefore to the main highways, and as many as you find there, invite to the wedding feast.’ 10“Those slaves went out into the streets and gathered together all they found, both evil and good; and the wedding hall was filled with dinner guests.
11“But when the king came in to look over the dinner guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed in wedding clothes,
12and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without wedding clothes?’ And the man was speechless.
13“Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

So, what do we learn from the above:

1. God invited the Jews to the Wedding Feast. These are the Hebrews from Abraham's time.

2. The Hebrews, Israelites and Jews always did not understand the message from God.

3. The Prophets of old were killed, as what happened in the O.T.

4. God sent His message to all, out in the streets, as had been promised in the Abrahamic and Davidic Covenants. (Abraham would be the father of many...the gentiles).

5. The Wedding Hall was FULL of guests but one was not wearing the proper clothing.
That would be Jesus...

6. Those that do not have Jesus will be thrown out of the Wedding Banquet where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

(many who cry Lord, Lord, will NOT be saved because they did not follow Jesus' teachings and were not "dressed" with Him).
The wedding invitation is to anyone and everyone, total strangers, both good and bad. This refers to the gospel being taken to the Gentiles.
This portion of the parable is a foreshadowing of the Jews’ rejection of the gospel in Acts 13.
Paul and Barnabas were in Pisidian Antioch, where the Jewish leaders strongly opposed them. The apostle’s words are sent out to those invited to the wedding who did not deserve to come.

They had to speak the of God to the Jews first.
But they rejected it so they went to the gentiles.

Acts 13:46-47
46 Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and declared, “It was necessary that we first preach the word of God to you Jews. But since you have rejected it and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we will offer it to the Gentiles. 47 For the Lord gave us this command when he said,
‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles,
to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’ ”

The gospel message, Jesus taught, would be made available to everyone.

It speaks to the future, but also to the past.
In the parable of the evil farmers...
Matthew 21:33...... It is plain to understand that Jesus is speaking of the prophets that had ALREADY been sent.

And please let's remember that the Apostles did not go to the gentiles because the Jews did not accept Jesus....but this was known from the very beginning,,,from Abraham and on.

I agree with the rest....
So what are we arguing about??

Those that preach correctly will NEVER tell you not to obey God.

You believe you can destroy something kept by Gods power?
Obedience is only necessary if you want to get to heaven. If you choose to not obey, you don't have any pearls.

Paul always feared he wouod bcome unqualified to teach the gospel, because something he did caused his reputation or light to be tainted,

Thats why he told us to work out our salvation, with fear, because we to are lights, so we should live above reproach.
Paul never feared loss of salvation

According to paul,

to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord

He will be raised

His knowledge of where he would spend eternity is what gave him the ability to see all his hardship as momentary light afflictions

He was given all things, even the seal of the spirit, which three times in three books he said was until the day of redemtion (day of ressurection)

He was justified, he was sanctified and he will be glorified

He was perfected forever by one sacrifice

I can go on and on, again, context and the rest of pauls writing has to be taken into account, proper hermenuetics uses all things (biblical context, historical context, languages, etc etc) and forms an interpretation based on all thse and more.

AMEN....PAUL worried about becoming unusable....NOT losing his salvation which is ignorant

Yes, people are so busy trying to prove conditional security, they see things which are not there.

They are unable to enter gods rest, so if we think about it, they have to do that, its all they have

End.

No one here has ever once said to not obey God.

Also I said you are currently functioning as a wolf because:

1. You quoted my post giving praise to God, insulting me and falsely accusing me of following "sayings" and belittled me.

2. You said an untruth of the Holy spirit <- implying I am decieved, while also building the same strawman that is often used to bait excited responses....

"YOU ARE SAYING YOU CAN SIN ALL YOU WANT /or/ YOU TEACH NOT TO OBEY GOD"

no fran

Gods children are made new and wish to be delivered from sin... if we sin all we WANT it will be 0.

also saying we are saved forever is not saying to not obey God... it is explaining the truth .... and that we can trust Him in a love which casts out fear
