9. When we were kids, my brother and I would look forward to the ice cream truck passing by each evening. As we heard it on the street next to the one we were on, we asked grandma and mom for money. Neither of them had cash. The neighbors across the street (who were our good friends and still are) came and told us their grandparents gave them a $20 bill. We told them that that money was for them but I heard the grandma tell them "get them something too." I thought that was really nice of them to do that for us. I lived in a very poor area so $20 in the early 2000s was a lot of money. The funny thing is that we spent all of those $20 on pure ice cream. LOL When my grandma found out she told us we needed to go offer the grandparents of our neighbor friends some. They didn't want any. So 5 kids ate $20 worth of ice cream that one day.
10. Peter. The story about him going to Jesus in the water is one I always relate to. Sometimes I feel like I really am walking on water and it feels amazing...then when I remember all the worries of this life I end up drowning! Also, where he denies Jesus three times and then goes back to being a follower gets me so emotional. Peter felt so bad for doing that. Sometimes I feel the same way...especially when I laugh at a dirty joke or say a bad word. I know that I'm not being my best self according to Jesus and it's like I'm denying him too because I choose to do my own thing instead of following his ways.
Well that wraps up my first thread on here. Or is it my first thread? Hmm...
