The application of saving Faith or pisteuo is a process . It has a beginning , a testing period , and a maintenance period in which we receive the Spirit of Christ . Whenever I refer to pisteuo , the context is always based on the surrendered life .

Once we are " in Christ " and His nature begins to flow . Part of that nature is His obedience flowing through us from time to time . But it only happens because we are continually surrendering our lives to Him and living a life inspired by such surrender . Just as Paul says , " it's not me doing it anymore but sin dwelling in me doing it " . But by the same token ( due to sanctification or separation ) whenrver he does something Holy or of God , it's not him doing that either , but the Spirit of Christ dwelling in him doing it .

The only thing we are really doing is answering the call of the Father by pisteuo , by a personal surrendering of our lives to Him and living a life inspired by such surrender . " Trusting " , that He will accept the surrendered life , that he will direct the surrendered life , that He will sustain the surrendered life , that He will regenerate the surrendered life , that He will keep and hide the surrendered life .

Our only part is to continually , daily , hourly if need be , surrender our life and will to Him . Making all the little daily decisions supporting the fact , our lives are nolonger ours anymore but His .

As we move forward in the process , his presence will result in more Faith and faithing . His Spirit causing us to be givers will result in increased Faith and faithing . Having the mind of Christ will result in increased Faith and faithing . Seeing a reflection of our surrendered life in God's Word through others who went before us will result in increased Faith and faithing .All by simply fulfilling pisteuo correctly .
Where do you come up with this stuff?

The only process in faith is to empty your own beliefs, your own thoughts and your own abilities, and coming to the point you actually Trust God is able to do what he promises he will do.

Faith is the SUBSTANCe of things HOPED for. The EVIDENCE of things not seen.

1. Any faith in my ability is flawed. Because I am flawed.
2. I can see my work. If faith is in my ability, again, it is not faith at all

3. My hope is what God promised, Eternal life to all who believe and according to paul God not only promised that hope. He can not lie.

Exactly: Quote: "and presenting my understanding of how it's applied."

Read my signature: A wrong interpretation = A wrong Application always

Your application of scripture is wrong and I will leave our conversation at that.
Now that you seem to understand the question , what is your understanding ?

Or was that your attempt to deflect ?

Your hatred is as predictable as the sun rising in the morning. As it is written; "there is nothing new under the sun".
Yes I do "hate" false teachers why, because they lead people away from the True Gospel. You sure like to dish out the complaints but oh my if someone disagrees with you.

We don't need to discover any new truths , we need to rediscover the old truths !.
Yes, And we should never think we HAVE the truth, Once we think this, We are unable to learn.

Vines Greek dictionary : pisteuo or the verb form of Faith that was mistranslated into the English language by using the words believe , believer , and believing , is correctly defined as : " a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender . Producing a full acknowledgement of God's revelation of truth ."

Your understanding is a victim of a mistranslation .

We are to "grow in the grace and knowledge" of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Yes. As for sinning again, that will happen to any human being walking the face of this earth. If anyone believes they never sin, they are fooling themselves.
But isn't the goal to not sin, to go and sin no more? To "Strive" to walk even as He walked? Isn't the "Path" faith and belief in the God of the Bible regardless of the religious traditions of the land? Are we not to "strive" to walk even as He walked. To "run the race" to win the race?

Will not the Father help His children who slip and fall when they strive to be "Doers of His Word" and not just hearers only?? But what of those children who outright reject the Fathers Words? Are there examples of how He feels about them?

"And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Lawlessness)

Also about me being wrong . I have a question. Do you know my wife ? She says that too . Lol catch ya on the flip I got to go to work in 6 hrs and need some zzzzzzs

Do you even know what GRACE is by the biblical Definition?

You received FROM GOD as a Free GIFT, what you CANNOT EARN, and DO NOT DESERVE.

Obedience is PART OF THE LOVE that GOD has the HOLY SPIRIT sowed into the Fertile Soil In Our Hearts.

OBEDIENCE NEVER HAS BEEN PART OF SALVATION.

In Rev. 13:8,
HE "SAVED" US, is in the Aorist Tense, which implies it was for all TIME.

Here is the Definition from the Blue Letter Bible.

The aorist tense is characterized by its emphasis on punctiliar action; that is, the concept of the verb is considered without regard for past, present, or future time. There is no direct or clear English equivalent for this tense, though it is generally rendered as a simple past tense in most translations.

According to strongs complete expository dictionary

1. Cf. 1 Tim. 5:12, where “faith” means “pledge.” See belief, faith, fidelity.

2. pisteuo (verb) (πιστεύω, 4100), “to entrust,” or, in the passive voice, “to be entrusted with,” is rendered “to commit to one’s trust,” in Luke 16:11; 1 Tim. 1:11; “to be put in trust with,” 1 Thess. 2:4, kjv (rv, “to be intrusted”).

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever has "a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender . Producing a full acknowledgement of God's revelation of truth " should not perish but have everlasting life.

There you have it guys. Pisteuo translation, im using the Falsegospelitus Decepticus greek text as underlying in this translation. Makes it a lot more clear now doesnt it?

Look in the mirror. I doubt you know yourself.
Justification means to be seen by the Father as " just like Christ ."

Sanctification means to be separated from . The best example of sanctification is in Rom 7:15-21 where Paul states when he does what he does not want to do , it's not him doing it , but sin dwelling in me doing it .

Both of these are a result of a continually surrendered life as defined in the Vines Greek dictionary .

It's the same as the Strongs and Vines . I given them both multiple times .

You have built your understanding on the mistranslated words believe believer , and believing . No such words in the Greek. Every person here on this site is probably been taken onto the wide path by this deception .

Justification means declaired innocent or found no guilty. It happens because of redemption (the cross) and not because of works.

And your defenition is made up. Nice try, But no cigar.

You think you can justifiy yourself. Your under law. Plain-and simple. And good luck being justified by the law..

Yeah, I do not see it, What I see is you adding to the word somethign that is not there.
Try the New Strongs Expanded with cross references from Thayer's and brown , driver ,Briggs .

And the Vines Expository .

Strongs : " pisteuo means NOT just to believe . "

Vines : " pisteuo is a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender . Producing a full acknowledgement of God's revelation of truth ."

The translators are the ones that added a word , by no fault of their own . There just isn't a verb form of the noun Faith on the English language .

If I were wrong , the words believe , believer , and believing , would be corresponding verbs to the noun " Faith ." But they are not! They are corresponding verbs to the noun " belief ."

So if you are right , there should never be the word " Faith " in the NT , it should be the word " Belief " .

Is the light going on yet ?

GIVE US YOUR UNDERSTANDING WITHOUT QUOTING FROM YOUR STRONG's OR VINE's OF THE WORDS JUSTIFICATION and SANCTIFICATION. WE suspect You are the ONE who has mistranslated the words, and misinterpreted the verses, containing them.

Just so you know, THAT IS ONE TIME.
