Here’s the problem... I suffer from depression, mood swings, anxiety, paranoia and fatigue. I am so overwhelmed and I hide it inside causing lots of pain and roadblocks for getting better. I tried a book of meds to help me and well I am at the point now where I can’t put one foot in front of the other without God’s help. I am not an obvious basket case, besides to myaelf... I’m stuck inside my brain a lot and I do understand how a lot of this emotion/psychology stuff works, and what causes certain parts of my mental health weaknesses. I pray and pray and pray and pray. 🙏

Hi Ata, I firmly believe what the Bible says. We read we are created from the dust of the earth, so it makes sense to me that only what comes from the earth can nourish and sustain us optimally. Man made meds are helpful at times, but not intended to truly sustain us. Along with eating the Word, we should be mindful of everything that enters our bodies, whether it be heard, seen, or food consumed. Be encouraged, that even the longest journey begins with a single step. :) Even small changed in diet can make a big impact on our overall physical and mental health. Take care of yourself, God bless.

I will pray and pray and pray and pray for Jesus to touch your troubled mind and free you to be the person that God meant you to be.

Is it a problem to be depressed? Perhaps saying depression is wrong is much of the problem. I have always thought that if you're not depressed today, something is wrong with you.

Are you Christian? A born-again believer in Christ?

Are you saying God doesn't answer your prayers?

I'm sorry to hear about what you are going through. The mind is the battlefield, just like Joyce Meyer says.

It sounds like in the battle in your mind you are outnumbered and losing. BUT GOD can deliver you from all oppression if you change the playing field.....by this I mean, if you can play the Bible audio continuously (whenever you can) and praise and worship music will change the atmosphere and invite God - the Lord Jesus Christ in. Shut the world out and invite God in.

The Lord rebuke the devourer, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, shine Your Light and dispel the darkness.

Ask the Father in Heaven to take total possession of your heart and mind and surrender all your thoughts to Him. Make a list of things to focus on and think about - take control of your thoughts and focus them on these two scriptures - try to memorize them .......

Philippians 4:7-9 King James Version (KJV)
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Isaiah 26:3 King James Version (KJV)
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Please know that days of trouble come to all of us. We all have to face the battle in our minds. Keep God first in your life and He will fight the battle for you and with you. God bless and keep you always!

Hi Ata041114,

I have a few family members that struggle with depression

This came to my mind
Psalm 42: 6. My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar. 7. Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.

I am all of the above and whole heartedly believe that God answers prayers directly and indirectly.. I not only believe in my savior but believe in my discipleship for him. I listen to worship music daily, pray multiple times a day, read scripture... God answers my prayers but what my problem is the mud I’m stuck in, in moving forward with his answers. I see the solution many times but I feel trapped inside a glass box. Not all believers minds are alike. Which is why it’s so important to carry each other.

I fix my eyes on Jesus so much that I’m withdrawn from my home, my family.... I need him so much that I can’t let go to serve my family with a joyous heart 😔

You keep using the word 'stuck'. Stuck in what? You say mud in one statement and your brain the next. What are you 'stuck' in?

What do you mean it is 'important to carry each other?' How do you expect others to carry you?

You never mentioned this in your opening statement. Why now? Do you think it's God's will that you neglect your family?

So like. My clear service for the lord is to serve my large family the best I can. But I feel as if they consume me because I am able to set healthy boundaries, with my kids and my husband. My husband was controlling in the beginning of

Well do you not see the metaphoric connection. I am stuck in my brain with my thoughts un able to process them correctly, certain aspects of my mental health keep my from using my brain to think I can execute a healthy action or decision. Feeling like you can’t put one foot in front of the other confidently to trust God, and what I’ve learned can feel like being stuck in the mud... it can feel like being stuck in a tree or a wall or whatever. It’s a metaphor. Prayer for the church of Jesus Christ, the whole body and it’s part is a good way to help carry others. ❤️

Of course I do not think it’s Gods will to neglect my family, opposite in fact. There is no written format to ask for help, or advice. Anyone who suffers from mental health, knows the ones close to them suffer too.

Hello Ata041114,

Be careful not to alienate yourself from people. I meant to shut the world out and invite God in - not to shut out family. It's good to do acts of kindness for your family. This is pleasing in God's sight.

Some IBS symptoms, health has always been pretty good besides fatigue. Some slight scoliosis and right hip placement issues, but nothing alarming.

How long must I wrestle with my
thoughts and every day have sorrow in
my heart?

If you are a child of God, do you want a genuine solution to your problems? Are you prepared to believe the Word of God and apply it to yourself BY FAITH? Then here it is:

2 TIMOTHY 1
6
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

Did you get that? God has given you a sound mind. BELIEVE IT.
