OMW..too many people "making the rules" on whose saved n not..knowing he just sent a man he followed..libed with..had a friendship with for 3 yrs ..he sent this innocent man to his horrific heath..how could judas LIVE with himself say nothing bout how the other desciples would feel..Zthe deapth of his remorse probably was so deep n intense he COULD no longer libe with himself? ..not sincere remorse? Really? I cant IMAGINE what judas went through...
Their is Godly sorrow. And remorse (personal pain caused by guilt which can happen to anyone)

Judas was a theif from the time he started. He was called the son of perdition (the name also given the antichrist) He never believed Jesus was messiah (If he did he never would have turned him in for some money) and if he repented after he did this, He would probably not have killed himself. He probably would have repented because he Knew Jesus as messiah could not be killed. Or remember he would be turned in killed and rise again 3 days later. The fact he did what many people do and took the easy way out to pay for their pain, and take their life in their own hands.

This is just a side note concerning who the beast will be...John writes....

The beast that

Was
Is Not
Shall ascend out of the bottomless pit

When John writes Revelation he uses the above verbiage which is

Past tense <--was
Is Not <--present tense when he is writing
Will Ascend out of bottomless pit<--yet future tense when he pens Revelation

Someone who was alive, dead in the bottomless pit and allowed to ascend out of the pit.

What is it is Judas?

Not saying it is, just always though how he was and is a devil....and for sure a few thousand years in hell would evolve his hate for the one who "Failed him"......

Just a point to ponder.....not saying I believe the above, just something interesting
The son of perdition is satan himself, Just as satan entered Judas in the end, He will enter the king of rome/Europe) when it is time,

The difference is judas just turned in christ, the beast will rule the world . Both end up being destroyed, judas by a rope, te beast by Christ himself.

Hi Jewel, I like the way you phrased the question; "can you say otherwise?" truthfully no one can say for sure either way if Judas did or did not become a "True Christian", because the bible only say's that Judas was, "seized with remorse." and he confessed his sin, "for I have betrayed innocent blood."

So the biblical facts are not sufficient enough to say that Judas was saved and then lost his salvation -- end of story right?
Matthew27:3,4
3) When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders. 4) “I have sinned,” he said, for I have betrayed innocent blood.”
Again, A non believer who never even heard of Jesus could do this. It is called human emotions. Emotions never determined a persons salvation.

And for a man that liked money a lot for him to give it back..then others to say his remorse wasnt REAL? Was real in MY book..
That does not make one saved.

He never accepted his savior.. He did not even believe Jesus came to take his sins. He tried to give his money back because he knew they were gonna kill him, He was trying to save his life..

Again, any non believer can do this.

So..again..please show me the scripture where it says denying Christ is the unforgivable sin? Thanks
Hey sis, Denying christ is calling the HS a liar. For the HS convicts the world of sin righteousness and judgment, even the word, (OT and all) was inspired by the HS. So to ignore what the word says about Gods redemptive plan would be blasphemy of thre spirit. It is called unbelief

Blasphemy of the spirit has to do with the HS, Attributing his works or words to someone else. or dissenting from his truth.

Ie, it is rejecting the gospel of salvation by grace. All are in danger of commiting this unpardonable sin, But as jesus said, when the pharisees attributed his works to satan, They were in danger, We have till we die to repent and come to truth.
My point of reference was the suicide of Judas Iscarriot rather than true repentance.

.sooo..if we just need the working of the HS in us to become saved (hense your comment bout ones that have never heard arent excused) why the purpose of pastors..missionaries..or even the Bible..if all we needed was the HS we dont need anything else then right?
The HS uses the bible (inspired by him) and pastors missionaries and even us.

Apart from the HS, we could never understand the word, no matter who taught us, The HS works through all areas..

Remember the things of God are foolish to those who are not his, The HS has to help us understand these things since we can not on our own (they are foolish) if after this, we deny the word and reject christ, we have denied or rejected the HS

Peter denied Christ three times..did HE blaspheme the HS and commit the unfirgivable sin? No..
He denied knowing christ, or being a part of Christs inner circle, out of fear for his life.

Thats different than denying Christ as the redeemer of your sins and rejecting his salvation.

I used to attend church with a woman who absolutely adored Joyce Meyer and became furious when others tried to warn her about the false teachings of Joyce Meyer.

We have women teachers. And women pastors who lead discipleship of other women and lead women cell groups. Although comming from a religious background, seeing them teach in church is still odd. I have been blessed by them to many times to think it is not alright with God.

The 'Sally' (Salvation Army ministers to ex-addicts and prostitutes. Who could be more appropriate on womens issues than a woman?

We have women speakers from time to time, usually fill in speakers when the scheduled speaker is away or when they want to discuss a topic the particular lady has shown a great knowledge of and is able to teach that topic..is this wrong?

The difference between Judas and Peter makes for an interesting study.
I believe the difference is that Peter knew AND confessed WHO Jesus is.
I LOVE Peter because I take comfort in the fact that although sometimes I forget who I am, which is a Child of the One True King, which leads me to falter and stumble, I DO NOT forget who Jesus is. And that is I think what happened to Peter. He denied knowing Jesus. He DID NOT recant his confession that Jesus is the Son of God.

Interesting, that many times we falter in what is our fleshly strength not weakness. Here is Peter, the COURAGEOUS one who walks on water, who moments before was ready to take on the world with his sword on Gethsamane, and now is reduced to fearing little girls that accuse him.

Now, what was Judas repenting of? Betraying INNOCENT BLOOD, NOT betraying the Son of God. Judas NEVER acknowledges WHO Jesus is. He calls Him Rabbi, Teacher, and Master but NEVER Lord because he NEVER believed Jesus was the Son of God.

I’m my church the only time a woman gets behind the pulpit is to read scripture, sing, share their testimony or share about their missionary work (no preaching). We do have a woman’s group that just started up again and a woman from my church spoke at that. I’m conflicted with the whole woman preacher thing. Many women are very knowledgeable in scripture, but if the bible tells us woman shouldn’t/ cannot be preachers/ pastors, well.....
