Why must we remain stedfast in the work of the Lord if our EL is assured immediately after we believe?

But I expect you are "holding fast" and will be "stedfast" and so you will be OK.

The discussion is persecution.

The promise of salvation is to those who believe and continue in the faith to the end.

because they will be deemed as sinners not having the imputed righteousness of Jesus

Remaining steadfast does not mean holding onto salvation. Being steadfast equals staying in God Word and growing in order to have an answer when asked, not being mislead by "false doctrine" and holding onto the hope which is our eternal salvation and not being led astray by someone spewing forth the false teaching that we can lose what only God and the Holy Spirit can secure.

There is not one soul on this site or in any church/denomination who can possibly keep all commandments, the Law, to ensure their eternal salvation. No not one.

whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law for sin is the transgression of the law

if you fail the law at any point youre guilty of all

no flesh shall be justified by the works of the law

Jesus is the way and the truth


.... God did a wonderful job preserving His word

You learn the difference between those who believe and immediately are saved, and those who believe and are not immediately saved. Which is it. You have preached for months that the second someone believes they are saved. Now because justpassinthrough has shown you that someone who believes can lose their salvation, you are scrambling to another truth. Now you say, just because you believe does not save you. Wow, geesh, wow. What is it?

Did John 3:16 just get ripped out of the bible?

Once again, you have been preaching that 1 second after you believe (John 3:16) you are saved. Now you don't preach that any more. Good going. You are right. You are not saved 1 second after you believe. That is just the beginning of the salvation process, not the end.

You did say that I do not know how to divide. How do you divide the word then between the law and grace?

Jesus is much more into good works, in fact he never uses the word 'grace' in the NT. So do you divide Jesus's words between the law and grace?
