There is no reason this discussion should turn ugly at all. The basic premise presumes from the outset to interject human ego and persona into a Godly institution. And from that standpoint, moves to argue what God would not do. Using errant references to display confirmation bias.

Not any group of people participating in this discussion that appears on every Christian forum sooner or later will concede their point. And that is the point.
Women were leaders in scripture. Women were teachers in scripture. It is not consistent to argue "I believe God's word and what it says....." , as a Christian and then disparage God's word and what it says about those proofs concerning women.

The question is if we should follow what is said to us to follow or if we should follow examples of people in the Bible.

The second option is very dangerous, people in the Bible do not behave perfectly.

i've never listened to a sermon from a woman..
but older and younger ladies have given me solid advice at points of my life

as well as encouragement and reproof when i was in error

if i had to choose to listen to
truth from a ten year old girl (in or out of congregation)

or some false gospel from an aged man who thinks himself as wise

id lend my ear to the young lady
But this is not the dilemma we are discussing right now :)

I knew there were some who would not agree :)

I just made this:

And now I must go...
If I wanted to be technical, I am sure some angels came down from heaven and returned there :p

In John 3:13, Jesus was likely referring to humans :)

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven--the Son of Man.

Again? Really? Complete with wrong KJV translations to support it?

I guess I will go to my computer, dig out the pages I have written, and repost them. Just for the OP, since most of you have some firm stands, one way or another.

Seriously? I have to laugh!

I was just about to ask, where’s Angela when you need her. Lol

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Ephesians 5:

HI,

In my opinion, the bible says clearly that woman can't teach in the congregation. Why almost all of the denominations allow the woman to teach? And I think it's not the problem in the denominations only but in the home meetings as well.

King James version:

1. Tim. 2:12
Whilence.

1. Kor. 14:34
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

1. Kor. 14:35
And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Ps. I don't belong to any denomination as the bible clearly says that there is only one congregation in every city. There were no names for congregations with early Christians.
All of your verses are out of context....What does the bible really say? Dig into it.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man;
and the head of Christ is God.

Do some research on the word "head" that has been translated from the Greek. Warning deep research may take you several months.:)
