The word says:The love of money is the root of all evil...And people seem to forget that. The government is not all socialists, or capitalists or christians, or jews or anything else but what it seems to me it's the lovers of money and the corruption that goes along with them is the root of most of our nations troubles. calibob
Some people do not understand what it means when the Bible says the love of money is the root of all evil, for they say how can money be the cause of every sin which is evil.
If someone rapes a woman was money involved. If someone kicks the crap out of someone was money involved. If someone belittles a person was money involved, and so forth.
So how can money be the root of all evil when money is not the motive behind every sin.
Mat 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Joh 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Rom 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Rom 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
1Co 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity(love in action, and faith and hope are not needed in heaven, but love will go on forever).
1Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
1Ti 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness(money, material, for their wants): from such withdraw thyself.
1Ti 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1Ti 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1Ti 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content(God only blesses us with our needs).
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Jas 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body(charity); what doth it profit?
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
1Jn 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
1Jn 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth(charity).
Love is the fulfilling of the law, and that includes helping people with their needs if possible, which creation testifies that there is a God, and of His attributes, which one of them is love, for He provided food, and the means to make clothing, and shelter, so the world is without excuse, and they should love this higher power and people, which is the universal law, love God, and love people.
1Jn 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1Jn 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
The love of money is the root of all evil for it neglects the poor and needy which is what it is all about, for love is the fulfilling of the law, and if they do not love people, then how can they love God.
But it is true that money causes a lot of corruption, and causes evil, and problems, but in that sense it is not the root of all evil, for some of them that love money might do good with that money, at least once in a while, and also money is not the root of all evil that is is the motive behind every sin.
But in the sense that love is the fulfilling of the law the love of money is the root of all evil, for it neglects the poor and needy and that is what it is all about to love people, for that is how God wants the world to operate which creation testifies of this so no person is with excuse if they do not comply, and no person can belong to the kingdom of God unless they truly love people.
Anybody that goes by their wants falls victim to not loving people for they put money, and material things, above people, even if they do not have a lot.
God said this generation will devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men, so the love of money that neglects the poor and needy is kicking like a big dog, where millions, and billions of dollars is not enough for them, but they want more.
