As the title says, I'm an Orthodox Jewish woman. My Christian sister in law asked me to post a little about us since the subject has come up recently due to recent world issues to answer some confusion/misinformation.

1. Why don't you have sacrifices?
A. Because they can only be done at the temple in Jerusalem buy a Levitical priest. Since the temple no longer exists we can no longer do this.

2. How do you get forgiveness?
A. repent and make restitution, depending on the offended party. (G-d, a person, etc...)

3. What is the Talmud?
A. It is a large number of books containing very boring debates and commentary on the Torah. Although considered scripture it is not additional laws, it is opinions and rulings base don existing law (The Torah).

4. Why don't Jews believe in Jesus?
A. Because we do not believe he meets the requirements to be the Messiah. There are numerous commentaries online if you really want a deeper answer.

5. Do you believe in Hell, the Devil, or the afterlife?
A. No, not really and yes.

Cheers!
Hi ya

What you are really saying is it is no longer possible for Jews to worship God in the way that He requires.

Thank you for telling me what I was thinking.
... just that you have no temple, no sacrifice, no priesthood. It's all gone,

God has not cast off the Jews ... NO WAY, they are beloved of God. But they are as it were laid aside for the present age.

Where did you show Jesus did not end the law?
Matthew 5:17 Do not think that I have come to abolish Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Christians constantly say they aren't under "the old covenant" or whatever, and yet claim Jesus was a Jew and claim some kind of kinship.
His earthly parents were Jews.
Did he end it or did he not?
No!
If he did, he is not the Messiah, if he didn't then why aren't you all following the Mitzvot?
I showed You His words that He did not end the Law
Ruth and Rahab are Jews.
Rahab was a Jericho prostitute that later became a Jew by faith.
Ruth was a Moabite who married a Jew.

My point was they were not natural born Jews.

Once someone converts to Judaism they are just as Jewish as someone born and raised. Halakha forbids even reminding a convert they were ever not Jewish.

I want to show You something that Paul wrote. Romans 3:31 Do we, then, make law void through faith? Let it not be: on the other hand, we establish law. Even Paul explains the Law is still alive. This is why it's important to understand what each denomination is teaching. They remove the Law when it has never ended.

Welcome Aviva! So glad you came. Glad you are willing to talk to some of us "Jesus Freaks". Do you think you might have looked into Christianity if you had not been born into Judaism? We gentiles believe that we are all born into sin and must come into Christianity by choosing to invite Jesus into our hearts.

From reading the Old Testament, I would agree with your assessment about how Jewishness and Judaism were always inextricably tied together. God never tolerated atheism from any child of Abraham. Atheism was never an option for Jews in the eyes of the Father.

We, as Christians, do not believe that being outside of Christianity is acceptable for any human being since Jesus (who we believe will fill all your requirements very soon) came to Earth and died for everyone 2000 years ago. We believe that all who reject the Father's gift (Jesus) will be damned to eternal punishment in a Lake of Fire.

Have you ever considered reading the Gospel of John in our New Testament? John (a Jew himself) writes much about the future of Jews in another of his New Testament books; The Revelation.

Revelation, Chapter 12

1And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17And the dragon was with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Hello Aviva,
Greetings in the name of ADONAI AB. (Not a Hebrew speaker/read so I am not sure how to write God the Father), and from Him, hen and shalom.
And, I declare ADONAI is EL Elohim too. Names are important, and like Yacov and Avraham, I too have a NAME, given of God.

I am Y'pet'El, a commissioned prophetic servant by His grace (hen).

Are you taking the ratchet the hostility approach of many of this world's atheists? The one normally used by those looking to pick a fight, as it seems from the responses to your posts.
As for me I do not care if you are hostile or polite but the latter is preferred. Like Yeshua ben Nun I say, I will worship and serve the Lord (Yeshua, Ben Dabid, Ben Avraham, Noach Ben Methuselah, Ben Adam, Ben ADONAI) only.
I must go, service of a brother awaits.
There are some things about Revelation 22:5-11 I would like to comment on.

Yours in the service of Jesus
Y'pet'El, (Jepethiel).

Is this not also what scripture states? Every spiritual descendant of the Pharisees is guilty of deicide. You and I don't share the same beliefs on the Holocaust or what led to it, and given the current censorship of the truth on this topic in many jurisdictions, it can't even be spoken of openly, so I don't intend to try.

Jesus did indeed die on the cross for me and every other believer, including those who have repented of the false religion of the Pharisees. Paul is perhaps the best scriptural example of one of these.

That's too bad because I would be interesting in what you think led to the Holocaust. I believe several things actually led to the Holocaust. I would say Planned Parenthood founder Margret Sanger and even Darwin himself had a hand in what took place.

Do not turn my thread into a holocaust discussion, especially with an antisemite holocaust denier... at least if anyone expects me to stick around. Take that garbage elsewhere please.

You are not a prophet and claiming such falsely is a death penalty offense in the Torah, if you'd like an illustration of how seriously G-D takes it.

He said he wouldn't answer, I don't expect him to. But as I told another new member, threads pretty much go where they go. I have asked the same thing on a thread and I've been here long enough to tell you that it won't matter. You did say plz, I will let the matter drop, unless someone directly says something to me. I will always speak up around someone denying the Holocaust, whether a Jewish person is around or isn't. It's how I was raised. I'd do that same for people of any other race too. If Mo wishes to answer he can pm me.

Jesus came to fulfill the law. We are not perfect people and there is no way we can keep the law perfectly. That was the reason for the blood sacrifices the blood covered our sin in G-ds eyes, but it didn't take it away. So people had to live by the law and make sacrifices. Jesus came to fulfill the law. He became our blood sacrifice and our high priest. With His death He didn't just cover sin, He took our sins away. Without Him we cannot keep the law perfectly no matter how hard we try. G-d knew that, that was the reason for the Messiah, to connect G-d to man like never before. When G-d looks at us, He no longer sees sin, because it's not just covered by blood of animals, it's been taken away.

She asked, I agreed. I'm simply warning her as I did another new member that threads tend to have a life of their own here. And unless it's a total free for all, I've never seen mods close a thread because it didn't stick to the OP. I've started enough threads to know this first hand. So have you.

The belief is that Jesus fulfilled every Law, as required the Messiah would do. And our faith in Him that He did this justifies us who are not able to keep the Law perfectly like He did. It's not a matter of us following the Laws, because we do in the condensed version. It's all about that Jesus did and we believe He did and put our faith in Him and He justifies us because we are not able fulfill the Law ourselves.

Even You said when You sin You must do a good deed. So You like us are not able to fulfill the Law. But Jesus did fulfill the Law. And we believe He did. And we place our hope and faith in Him. As result, He justifies us because we're admitting we cannot do what He can do.

I think he is this belief called Hebrew Roots. And You are correct. He's no prophet but only in his mind.
