@ChefJoe, I forgot to mention a couple of books to you, one pretty ancient, the other, modern. Both will help you learn to practice the presence of God in your life, even in the midst of your busiest moments on your busiest days and nights.
The first book, by Brother Lawrence, is called (aptly) The Practice of the Presence of God. It can be read online and/or downloaded for free here. The other book, by Dr. J I Packer, is called Knowing God, and you will need to purchase it if you want to read it.
Both books will help you find ways to grow in obedience to certain commands like the ones that we find in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, commands that, especially at first blush, seem pretty impossible for us to fully obey.

p.s. - finally, one last thing on the topic of witnessing. I believe that you will find Greg Koukl's book on witnessing/evangelism to be EXTREMELY valuable/helpful to you in a number of ways. You can check it out at the following link if you'd like to.

I was at my doctor's office this morning, waiting, waiting, waiting for my turn, sitting in a chair where
I could see the TV that I normally sit underneath (and therefore cannot see), and it had on a foodie show...
the sound was all the way down but there was text across the bottom of the screen, as the owner/chefs
showed how they made their culinary delights and had the show host give a helping hand, and then taste
the results, as well as getting customer feedback... some of the meals looked extremely delicious! It was
a Canadian show and the first restaurant was all about poutine .
. I hope you have good help in your
restaurant business and make many people happy with the yummy delicious and nutritious food you serve up...

share your concerns with me, even as unfounded as they are, for it really was time for me to update
my auto siggie picture, since it is quite old and outdated, so thank you for that .. And just so you
know, I will not stop designing women with purple or pink or blue hair just because you don't like it.
