I like running shoes...they go good with my jeans.

I actually held a baby alligator in my arms once.

I used to have a photo of it, but it seems to have disappeared.

Back in the day, I used to work at a lot of State Fairs as a vendor, and we saw shows at a few of them where a man wrestled with an alligator. After one such show, they allowed people to take a photograph while holding a baby alligator which had its mouth tied shut. We (my ex, I, and our three children) took one.

I've also been inside of a cage with wolves (at one show, and, of course, here as well...lol), fed lions meat on a stick through a fence, ridden atop an elephant, fed a giraffe carrots out of my hand, fed dolphins fish, fed lorikeets who were sitting on my head and arms apples, etc., etc., etc. Yeah, I like being close to God's creatures.

Those were the days...

Nowadays?

Just a tree hugger (as depicted in my profile picture).

Crocs are ok as a house shoe you wear only inside your house and yard.

Crocodiles?
They make great belts and handbags and luggage.

And boots!

what they had heels? I thought they had the ankle strap

Some people don't have all ten toes.
Others don't have straight toes so trying to wear sandals doesn't work for them.

Lots of reasons.
Crocks cover the toes and aren't dependent upon them for fitting and wearing properly.

I am one of those where one sandal fits straight and the other goes sideways. Crocs are a great solution. I don't own a pair but I've always wanted one.

But I might grab a pair of waders first.

Because the crocs bit their toes off?

I would think high heels shoes would be more damaging to your feet than crocs...since they are so narrow the bunions!

It takes a while to get used to a heeled shoe, I wear that to church and a lot of times to work but the crocs I only wear at home or sometimes if it is raining when I get to work I carry the good shoes and wear the crocs in the parking lot from my car to the door and when my feet and hose get wet it dries quickly at work then I put the good shoes on so the crocs help in the rain.

I have a pair - don't wear them that often - but, my dad has at least one pair and just loves 'em!

At least they come in all colours

though in NZ jandals will always be the rubber footwear of choice in summer
and gumboots in winter.

My cousin wore crocs all the time when I visited my family in Puerto Rico, it's still fashionable over there plus there's a crocs store at their mall. Crocs can be found at any Walmart. However no one where's them up north unless you're going to the beach or a water park of some sorts.

Back when I was a nurse they didn't have Crocs yet and I wore shoes that were designed for nursing, they were easy to wipe clean and were comfortable being on your feet all day, however, and we're talking this was about 30 years ago, the shoes cost 175 (I remember because I about choked on the price) granted, things weren't made in China back then so much but it was terribly high.

If Crocs have a similar level of comfort and are far less expensive than what you'd get at a specialty shop, I can see why they'd have so much popularity.

I've never worn them myself though.
