74 F and sunny in NE Tennessee @ 5:55 PM CDST.

It got a little too cool inside, had to turn mine off lol

Oh if only I had that problem. I'm gonna hafta get the fan going again in a few.

It's 86 atm. It shows that it reached 91 here today.
I am glad I went for my walk this morning while it was still somewhat cool.

It hit 90 here. That means we're gonna have a bad summer.

It also looks like more yardwork this year.

We always reach 100+ at some point and it'll stay there a while. I'll enjoy this while it lasts

NE Tennesse can get a few 90's in the summer but rarely will reach a 100. Now, having lived in Florida for 26 years they usually start in late April. Very humid as well. Much drier here where I live in Tennessee. Spent many months in Texas in 1972 for military training. Seems like it was always in the mid to upper 90's. Not very pleasant at all. Sweltering.

In 2017, I started traveling to/spending time in Georgia a lot. I had heard it gets hot there, but after visiting at all times of the year over the past few years, I found out that it doesn't get as hot as Oklahoma nor does it get as cold as Oklahoma. Actually, I find the weather quite pleasant there (compared to here).
Unfortunately, I haven't been to Tennessee.

This thread reminded me that I put clothes on the line yesterday evening so they should be dry now . Rain expected this afternoon, so I better take them down before work.

It's 77 degrees and cloudy in Washington DC.

Quite the weather here tonight. We've been having an above average amount of tornadoes in Oklahoma this year (the weekend before last 4 Okies lost their lives due to tornado activity and the Weather Service showed that 22 tornadoes hit us in one day). Tonight, one was heading in my direction. Sirens kept going off. Lights kept flickering. Cell phone kept telling me, "There is a tornado in your area. This is a life threatening situation. Take cover now!" Then the hail came. It has all now moved on and I'm blessed to be here unharmed. The bad part of the storm seems to have went around my scruffy neighborhood. But, other areas of the city have downed power lines, down street lights, trees on cars, trees in bedrooms, barns blown away, damage to buildings and businesses, the biggest highway through town is blocked with debris, a nursing home in a nearby small town took a direct hit, etc. etc. We are told to stay home and off the streets due to debris and downed power lines.

May our Father always hold you close. Oh Oklahoma! Altus, El Reno, Ardmor, OKC, Tulsa, and all the rest. May you be protected always.
