I would say mine was 10 years ago when I found out my ex husband was a cheater and a liar.
That began several years of waiting on God and seeking Him in regards to 'What's next'?
6 years later (after several attempts to reconcile) I knew that He was releasing me from my marriage.
I had to surrender my hopes of a godly marriage, more children, and everything I believed Jesus had in store for me.
I've been divorced for 5 years now and I recognize God's protective hand and blessings in the midst of all that turmoil.
I also know that what transpired wasn't what God wanted either. The situation I was in was as heartbreaking to Him as it was to me.
He is faithful. 💜
I went through something similar in my horrible first marriage (6 1/2) years that ended in divorce in 1984. I gave up on reconciling after a year or two after realizing that the divorce was actually a blessing from God that set me free from constant turmoil, mental anguish and physical abuse. Yes, she cheated on me too and I couldn't believe a single word that she said.

I'm sure there are people here who have been there. The point where something happens internally or externally and it causes you to really stumble in life. Whether you fell into drugs or became really depressed or had someone close to you die and it really affected you, etc.

I know this is kind of a dark topic for a Christian forum and I apologize for that. And if you don't feel like sharing, I completely understand.

But for those of you who don't mind sharing, what happened in your life that put you in such a spot? How did you recover or move past that point in your life? If you have, that is.

There hasn't been such a time for me....yet. But I was wondering what my fellow CC members would say.
Read testimonies.
