nice
Well, the topic of the sermon was "Walking in the light", and my father went up there talking about how important it was to not just own a bible, or bring a bible, but to own one. So light and the word made me think of John 1
As we know this starts off with:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
And a bit later we get to know that
the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us
in between theese two wereses, we are told that
the light shines in the darkness, and, depending on translation
(the original word holds all meanings) the darkness cannot comprehend it, cannot grasp it, cannot owerpower it, cannot defeat it...
We know Jesus in the word, we know He came to us, and that as a result of this,
God lives in us.
So what does this mean?
It means darkness cannot defeat us!
