What do you think about the phrase: “Everyone has their demons?”

We are not talking about literal demons, yes I know Demons can exist, but I meant it more with how the human side of people, can get dark with its thoughts and actions, and that is because we will never truly be perfect.

Yes we need to avoid evil and pursue God, but I don’t think anyone has successful filled themselves with God, the most Christian people in my life, probably still have their struggles, I know one of my mom’s most Christian friend, she is having to change churches, plus my mom brought up a good point when I was saying how we can become a new person when we start following God, “The sins of the past will still effect you even when you start to follow God”, which I totally agree with, it has happened where even if someone started following God, they may have slipped back into old sinful habits, because we are human and will never be truly perfect.

I don’t think there is anything wrong accepting the human/dark side of yourself, we know it isn’t right and we will repent, but every time you do something bad, and immediately hate yourself for doing it, I think will cause people to hate themselves, it’s better to accept that you will have some slips and falls, rather than crying every time you slip and fall.

As I understand demons they weren't created as evil spirits tasked by Satan to vex humanity.
They were angels first. They opposed God when joining with the adversary Lucifer in the war in heaven. And they were also those spoken of in Genesis 6 as the sons of God. And were then part of the reason for God's flood upon the earth.

That being said, I think it possible that demons can influence people to do wicked things. Conversely, from personal experience, I am certain we also have guardian angels.

a lot of people say demons are fallen angels.
angels are spiritual beings they dont have a flesh body like humans do. They are like our bodyguards.

Fallen angels are cast out of heaven and want to inhabit or possess human bodies. some ways they do this are via sex because thats an easy gateway into the human body. Jesus famously sent them into the pigs who then went into the sea and drowned.

As far dark side well theres nothing really to be gained from dwelling on stuff thats hidden or flaws...you just focus on Jesus not yourself so much and in the process become more and more christlike. we dont really make ourselves good, actually its God who is good to us.

The Holy Spirit does not share it's temple with demons.. If one has the Holy Spirit then they will have No demons..

I get that, I guess it’s just easy to dwell on yourself when you are like “Why did I think that?”, or “Why did I say that?”, or “Why do I keep pushing people away?”, or “I was trying to be nice, why didn’t they see I was trying to be nice?”.

If I hate my flaws as being human, then I will hate myself, this much I know because I already struggle with self-confidence. I was talking to my mom saying: “Isn’t it prideful to be saying: I’m going to heaven? Cause doesn’t God decide everything in the End and to not be prideful?” My mom said no, we need that self assurance that as believers, WE WILL go to heaven.

That’s why I find the flaws of humanity interesting, can’t help it. Flaws make for great storytelling, if a character is just perfect all the time and doesn’t struggle, then that makes for most of the time, a lame story, we as people can connect to each other with what we struggle with, just as we connect to characters in stories with their struggles, and with great character development, they change by the end and overcome their struggles. As you can tell, I’m a artist and interested in storytelling, that’s why my mind goes to thinking of dark side humanity and other topics.
