I cant remember a time when I didnt want to be a mom.........
but I also wanted to be part of sea rescue.....or a captain of a ship......
still want to do the rescue thing........hey once at the beach... I rescued a small turtle
from being tangled in some seaweed......turned out it was a fishing louer shaped like one......
but the attempt was there.....

I once rescued a mouse.

I ran a bath one morning, went to collect some things and when I returned there was a
mouse paddling for dear life in the red hot water. I hadn't put any cold in yet.

So I scooped it up in a glass jug and squirted it with cold water!

Then I stood the glass jug in the kitchen with this little drenched thing looking completely
forelorn inside.

I didn't know what to do with it but couldn't kill it, do I ended up taking it to a local
park and letting it go.

Oh Lynn bless, eating wings to fly Lol.

I remember as a kid I use to dream I could fly.

The novel sounds interesting what age group are you aiming for?
Ah, forgot. You're country has different meanings for age level. Over here, MG means 8-12 year olds. (That first Harry Potter novel was for 8-10s over on your side of the pond. I'm really hoping my series expands to all the age levels Rowling hit, but I'd be happy to be the next Winfrid Blount. lol)

"I wanted to be John Lennon" - John Kapelos as Carl the janitor from "The Breakfast Club"
I'm closer to the dorky teacher. I keep hoping the younger generation will take care of me in my old age. Carl looks like he was right. "Don't count on it." lol

The first wild mouse I ever saw, (my brother raised reptiles, including snakes, so raised domesticated mice and gerbils for snake and caiman dinners lol), came out around the edge of a dorm frig we had in our TV room. I thought it was sick, because how stupid could a mouse be to think it was okay to walk around in front of humans? So, I kept feeding it nuts and M & M peanuts.

A year later I find out they're practically blind so didn't see us to be scared. It's 13 years later. I'm pretty sure we have its great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandkids running around our house now.

Which would you rather have -- money? Or would you like me to talk my dear friend Joanne to visit you? (Once people become famous writers, they're always friends with famous writers like J.K. Rowling, right?)

I always knew I wanted to be a musician, and at 16 I declared I wanted to be an opera singer. And guess what? I became an opera singer! Well, on a limited basis -- never made it big, but I've done some fun stuff.

But what I should have REALLY done (hindsight is always 20/20), I should have become a computer engineer. I've got the aptitude for it, and I would have made TONS of money in that field in the early 1980s (when I went to college). But I suppose God had other plans -- I probably would have never met my hubby had I been a successful computer engineer!

When I was very little, I just wanted to be a 5th grader when I grew up.

Now time has passed and I've achieved that goal.
Geesh... seems like everything is just downhill from here.

Funny!

They were probably sick, but they can smell humans and they have good hearing skills... Who would run when receiving peanuts, for free?

I don´t!

¡Dios!

You also like running like "a horse"? Ha! Ha!

If I was there: "That was great fun I helped with one operation where a dog swallowed a ball. The vet cut open the dogs stomach and I had to swab away the gunk, then he started rummaging around inside the dog and showing me different parts."

I would have felt fainted, also.

The day I attended the vet (as an assistant) to cut my pitbull-boxer its ears (the fashion its ears would be short enough to fit any street fight, to avoid being hurt) I was ther helping in the measuring, the marking the new form, etc., but, when it started bleeding (It was too much for me) I got fainted. I was aware he wasn´t feeling the pain, for the drug he received, but it was my 1st dog, it was to dear for me... As sson as I could, I told that doctor: "I´m leaving... I´ll wait outside"...

I´m thankful!

Yes!

I´m happy I was not born a girl... I would have felt fainted, monthly.

I wanted to be a teacher when I was younger, because I loved learning and reading so much.

When I got to Junior high, I decided I would never be a teacher, because the kids were so rotten. About then, I wanted to die, rather than growing up.

Then I decided after grade 12, I really needed to go into the arts, and I worked on becoming a dancer and a musician. I also became a jeweller, which probably ruined my lungs because of the cadium and lead in the solder, which I did not ventilate propery.

Then I became a professional musician and life continued to go downhill. I finally realized at 25, I didn't want to make my living making people drunk and quit and went back to college and took science. I decided I wanted to become an environmentalist and save the earth.

God intervened, along with my husband. He told me to get some training that would get me a job. So I decided to become a teacher, but NOT teach older kids, but elementary school. I loved it, and did that for quite a few years till I got sick.

Ten years ago, well into a forced disability retirement, God called me to go to Seminary and I became a pastor/chaplain. What amazes me about this calling, is how God took all my bad things, all my training, gifts and talents and used it all in ministering to people. God really does work all things together for good.

Wait!! This was supposed to be light-hearted? Not an autobiography?? My bad! LOL

May I ask why "taller"?

Couldn´t you be loved being petite?

Couldn´t you love someone else who was taller?

Short people tend to get walked over literally.

Going into town on a busy shopping day is no fun if you are short :)

its also hard to find clothes that fit without having to adjust them and
shorten the legs on trousers etc.

I also get neck ache looking up at people ;)

Tall people are good
