God has taken me out of a really dark place. I used to think I was hideous and people told me that all throughout high school. When I looked in the mirror, I couldn't stand the sight of myself.

Jesus really took that away from me and I've been free from low-self esteem for a few years.

You are beautiful, lady. <3
You know I have felt that way too and still struggle with it, but God has placed people in my life to remind me that I am beautiful and God's creation is a masterpiece in his eyes. So, I have to constantly remind myself I am God's creation and he never makes a mistake he made me this way for a purpose.

I have these windows in my apartment. If you look out of it in a certain way, some of the images outside are distorted while other parts of the window you can see clear.

I was hanging out with God one day to where He said, "When you look out Section A of this window, you see a distorted view. Instead, if you look out of Section B of this window, you'll see clearly. Section A is the wrong view, because it distorts images, but Section B is always correct. I always want you to see out of my view, out of my lense. Like the window, Section B and my view are the correct views. Look at yourself the way I see you, and don't look out of your own distorted view."

Receive God's eyeglasses for yourself.

Not a bad advice :D

That's awesome!

I know when people used to compliment me, I would refuse them and say, "No, I'm not," and realized that I was in the wrong. Here we are called to lift each other up, and when I say no, I am saying no to the duties of what the body of CHrist needs to do for us.

Now with compliments, I just thank them and move on. Obviously your worth comes from God, but it's always nice to have people in your life to confirm what God is saying about you.

Yes, humility can go from a virtue to a fault if it's not gauged properly. It took me awhile to understand that rejecting a compliment on the basis of being humble is pretty rude to the person giving the kudos (not to mention it makes one look as though they have little to no confidence).

ANYWAYS

Today: I waited on someone to install new gutters at the house. He never showed. All in all, it was a relax day; went to Starbucks and read for a bit, talked with a friend there, went to the park and practiced bass guitar, then grocery shopping, then a peanut butter milkshake, then home for the night.

I should probably replace the strings. :\

Woah....is that somewhat of a picture of Siberian? Did we seriously almost get a glimpse of what you look like? :p

Ha, in all seriousness, I am sorry about that guy not showing up. I was really thinking he'd show up. Apparently not. Were you guys able to reschedule?

Ah compliments. I always struggled accepting them if someone said I was pretty or cute because I never believed it. But I had no problem accepting the "You're smart. You're funny. You sing well," ones. Why? Cuz i believed those.

But God is healing me. For so long I believed lies about myself. But I've learned what it is to submit to God, resist the devil, and the enemy gots to go! :)

ALMOST. A couple of people here have seen me. Yeah, going off of precedent & what others say, the guy is a flake, apparently. We're not going to employ him after that.

Offense taken! (You're the second person to say about peanut butter that to me, haha - no worries). :p
