And yet I see much transpiring on the other side as His Own continue praying without ceasing. The secrets of the inner chambers are being shouted from the roof tops.
On a lighter note- here is a video on the difference between 5.56 and 223-

Glad you enjoyed, this was as clear as any I have ever seen.
Saw some 9mm for 299 a case, very slowly coming down.

I had a friend give me an 8# jug of WC 852 canister powder. His dad (who recently passed) got it back in '02. I've been working up a load for my DPMS LR308. I was supposed to use data for H380, and have been doing so, but haven't gotten up to the velocity I should be seeing. I'm also not seeing ANY signs of high pressure, so the increases continue. I'm already just at "max" for the H380, so this must be slightly slower than that... the search makes it fun....
The LR is capable of pretty good accuracy.... it shoots IMI match ammo into about an inch at 100 yards, so I'm looking to match, if not beat that.
I also plan to put a free float handguard and low profile adjustable gas block on it, to make functioning more "tunable" if needed.

It's seriously a contender for the elusive "do everything" rifle.

WC 852, sounds slower than 748. That is a new one on me, this will be fun to look into and report back.
I am doing a lot of pistol reloading, primarily 9mm. I am still using a jug of WC 231 I bought 30+ years ago. Lasts a long time a 4.9 grains per.

Good thing you have no signs of high pressure.
How are you doing on primers? Expansion Industries in Lonestar Tx is in operation from what I hear.

I'll have to check them out.... primers have been available, but they are still around $100 per thousand... three times what they used to be... I'm ok for now, but it never hurts to have some on the shelf for later...

Someone.... "Grab a Gun"? or someone else on the internet had small pistol and small rifle for about 80 a little while ago, that is the best I have seen and gives us hope for the future.

Update on the AR-10 upgrade.... I got a 24" barrel, 16.5" free float handguard, adjustable gas block, and have assembled it to that point.
I am working on ways to shave a little weight, so I'm going to change out my Vortex 1-6x scope in favor of a Leupold 1.5-4x .... instead of 24.5 oz for scope and mount, I'm looking at 16 oz....
That will make this about a 10lb rifle. I could change the buttstock and shave another 7 or 8 oz off, which would bring it down to about M1 Garand weight. Not bad for a scoped long range rig....
