I am considering making some halloween themed pictures I am especially good at skulls but there are different styles I can make them one of them is actually really fun to draw but it is kind of demonic looking the other one I can draw is just a normal shaded skull and another I have fun with is actually one I used neon paint to make.
I drew this cartoon skull and used neon pain to color it in my sister has a black light in her room where everyone hangs out for halloween and has glow in the dark pictures the skull I made just pops out in the black light

sadly the only good paint is expensive as well as brushes and the canvas I mean I only get 30 dollars a week for myself sadly I don't think I could afford it I am sure blasck lights are not expensive though
That’s cool, since you brought up different Halloween styles, have you thought about making a “Day of the Dead” styled skull? Day of the Dead stuff is extremely popular in Texas, cause of Spanish culture we have mixed into our state, since we share a border with Mexico, lol. We are currently selling Day of the Dead statues/figures, that were actually made in Mexico.

That is a good idea I would have to look up some photos and pictures of one to get a good idea of how to do it but I am sure I could do it. I just wish I had decent coloring tools all I can afford is colored pencils it does ok but just seems to be lacking in richness I hate using markers crayons are ok for some pictures and as for paint well that so far is the best I have used. Although I do think I might have some oil pastels somewhere

Yeah, I used Crayola colored pencils for a long time, and I like them, but Prisma is the best brand wise. What I actually used to do, and I think I might do it again, you know how crayons and colored pencils feel different, I used them once to make a “feel picture”, I don’t where I have it, but if I were to do it again, I would add in oil pastels.

Just to show, here’s what we had on our shelves, cause you can even do “Day of the Dead” animals too:

Morning Encouragement, love your artwork. I used to draw and paint quite a bit when I was younger but I seem to have lost the desire. Maybe it will come back??

Hi goodafternoon Ruby123 (from here in London England.)Awwww thanks so much for appreciating my art work..I use to have loads but kinda ran outta space..so Painted over some with other stuff...I also got into modern art too..(that visually weird kinda looking art..😊😊)..You are such a blessing..
Ok so you used to painting and drawing quite a bit...but that desire has kind gone.Well to give you a clear perspective I can tell you this..
The technical skill of being able to draw and paint is often a separate element all by itself that you can tap into...let's say it like a nice car just parked on the road
The actual desire to draw and paint is what gets the car moving..the desire it the driving force behind the moving car.
The fact that you can draw and paint means your artist ability hasn't left you...its still there inside you..
The desire hasnt actually left you.. it just dormant or asleep..The fact that you appreciate my art and asked the question means you have the desire to do something but it's a case of how?
What can help you tap into you artistic side..just get urself a small note book and pen..and just whenever something you see that you like just draw a very basic pencil sketch of it..don't get hung up about it looking brilliant ect..just a 1min sketch of some sort...and occassionally look at the world around you..shapes,forms,colours and thing how would you paint/draw then..
This helps you recapture that sense of expressing your artistic side..which slowly begins to wake up again..
Then one day give yourself a mini painting/drawing project to do to bless yourself..nothing too long and laborious..
it could be anything...paint or draw ur slippers, a door anything u feel like doing..I Would love to see it and would most definitely bless you with comments.
(oops didn't plan on such a long message to you.😊😊👍)

Nice work! I used to draw human anatomy during Dent School, we have to go through and memorize all the muscles, bones and nerves and draw it, well I mostly trace all my work using a glass table with a lamp underneath 🤪 that's how I survived Anatomy.

Yeah, I brought it up cause I know most artists are kinda “meh” towards crayons/markers, but if you think, they can be used creatively. I was thinking about it cause the thought occurred to me, you can make a “feel picture” but be warned on how much oils our hands have, it will slowly ruin the artwork, the more times it is touched. I didn’t even do that idea for a school project, it was just something that randomly came to me, that’s probably why I don’t have the picture anymore, all I can remember is that I used color pencils for the lake, and crayons on the tree, but my trees are a giant “fluff piece” representing the leaves, lol.

Yeah I couldn't find my oil pastels so I will have to use colored pencils apparently we don't have many crayons either I do however have these colored art pens I got for my birthday last year unlike markers or other pens they don't leak to much ink I saw images of those day of the dead skulls and will be giving it a go today some of them are incredibly detailed and amazing looking I mean wow if I could make a canvas of one of those with a background to match it's style I bet people would love to buy it

Honestly those thing are amazing looking. I can draw trees mountains grass bushes and streams and lakes ok I just have issues with making trees without leaves The limbs always seem so random and out of place, there was a picture I had in mind for halloween but it requires leaveless branches.

Hi Mak33..my goodness you had to memorize the various muscle groups...They are all Latin and can be so complext....well done to you then coz I found even the tiniest of muscular ligaments having a name a long as my back bone..🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's an interesting method of having a glass table with a lamp underneath to illuminate the illustration so that you can trace it...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.So seeing my sketches must of brought back a few memories for you..😊😊😊😊

Oh thanks Mak. I will sit down one day and attempt it again. I guess I am just not in the mood for it right now. Are you the person who posted the miniatures? I think they are amazing.
