Well then perhaps AuntieAnt will make you special sugar-free cookies and we'll eat them together at our own litte tea party. :giggle:
Perhaps I shall conduct myself at your tea party as the Mad Hatter.

Perhaps whenever the word "diabetes" comes up (or "diabetus," close enough) it reminds me of an old classroom joke.

"Billy, use the word 'diabetes' in a sentence."

"'Look out for Yale' the Captain cried
'They've sworn they will defeat us
And all their football team has vowed
They'll either diabetes!'"

"Billy go stand in the corner."

"Yes ma'am."
Perhaps you need some new jokes.

Perhaps you need a new pet. Maybe a small dog, one of those little yapping ones that runs after moving stuff.

Perhaps I have one already. He enjoys barking at cats riding bicycles.

Perhaps that explains why you wouldn't let the topic go.

Perhaps I should start carrying a BB pistol. Not enough to injure, just enough to get the dog's attention.

Perhaps not. A stern "NO!" has always been enough to dissuade a dog.

However...

Perhaps if I start using a BB pistol to keep dogs off, the owners will start training their dogs properly.

Perhaps that would add too much weight to be worth it. Bikers like to go lightweight. I'll just stick to a stern "NO!"

Cool! Sounds like fun. :D(y) Perhaps I can be the Cheshire Cat. :giggle:
Although I don't believe the cat was in attendance at Alice's party.

I've never even seen a mad T.

I've watched some Star Trek episodes where Q was pretty ticked off. Perhaps we could do something to make Q mad and invite him to the party.

Perhaps a dog will bite your tire and give you a flat. If we all wish really hard, perhaps it might happen.

Perhaps you can be the March Hare. In the books, the Cheshire cat was not at the tea party, although he makes an appearance in some of the movie versions.

Perhaps they won’t get cold.
Perhaps you should cut them off as a preventative measure. After all, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” These little sayings always help me navigate this mystery called life.

Perhaps you don’t have the necessary daredevil genes to try these sorts of adventures.
Perhaps you're unwaware that as her ol' mama-in-law, I can vouch for Melita that she's no careless daredevil. But she sure is courageous and adventurous. In less than a year's time, she left her previous job, moved approximately 150 miles away from her family & church after marrying my son, obtained a good job in a nearby town, learned her way around all the bizarre roads in our city, joined the worship team (singing & playing violin) with my son at their church, and taught herself to follow recipes and cook delicious meals and bake yummy cookies. She's amazing! :D(y)

Perhaps you are unaware she is unwilling to cut off her feet to keep them from getting cold. Perhaps this shows a lack of bravery in her otherwise stellar character.

Perhaps what shows her bravery most of all is that she accepted me as her mother-in-law. :giggle:
