You are one busy gal and ooops I spelled it wrong!💖💖💖
isn't that a part of your professional job??? Hmmmm?????
YOU
SHOULD KNOW how to spell that!!!!
LOL:
I am of course teasing you,)
but seriously:
when I was finishing high school my older cousin was taking classes at the community college for her early childhood teaching degree (aka preschool teacher) and she somehow convinced my mom that I should take them with her that I would get credit twards both high school and college or something like that,(I think it was more of a "for her interest" rather than mine, so as to have transportation and being unable to afford books- access to them b/c where we were- my being a high school student taking college courses the books were provided to me I did end up in that career for a while, and while it was fun and beneficial in some ways, had it not been for her convincing mom to have me enroll, I doubt I would have ever gone that road........ but that's a WHOLE OTHER STORY, Whole other thread, lol)
ANYWAYS getting back to the point here:
Early Childhood Education:
We had an instructor who was just a little off her rocker. She was
BIG on correct spelling, especially when it came to the point that in day care/ pre school you have daily reports to write home about the childs day and whenever something should happen ( I MEAN ANYTHING as small as Johnny was running, fell, cut his knee and has a band aid) IT HAD to be recorded in the log books. (Legalities and all)
So THIS instructor was big on spelling and there was ONE WORD she was
VERY BIG on having spelled correct,
EVERYTHING in your written report could be 100% above and beyond excellent, but if you missed this one word she let it be known she would mark you down!!!! Because in her opinion this one thing occurs frequently with young children and would have to be recorded in the record logs and written up to the parents. And it drove her nuts to see this word misspelled.
So we were allowed to have one 3x5 index card of notes front and back for the test (even allowed to swap note cards, so of course many of us got together a few days before the test to go over details and spread out the info so we could pass different stuff to each other and cover ALL bases) . Guess what EVERYONE had on their note card as the very first thing listed?
YUP. THAT WORD. So needless to say, everyone did very well on their test and NO ONE was marked down because of that word.
OH! I almost forgot, I bet you want to
KNOW what word could drive someone so batty they insist it ALWAYS be spelled correctly. Ok, I'll spell it out for you, I mean tell you. The word was:
STILL
CAN NOT spell it correct to this day
