Actually a good question. Paul says to “not forsake the assembling of yourselves together…” But the fact is that it’s tough to find a church you feel comfortable in, or that is accepting. The best we can do is ask God to open up the right church, and then try some out.
@Burn1986 : Thanks so much for your excellent answer and advice! Will do!

I'm just wondering if you think that it is obligatory for Christians to be going to a church, and if so, why? I'm not currently attending a church.
It says in Scripture that Christians should fellowship with other Christians and I agree with that. But I am not comfortable with fellowship sometimes and I don't attend church either. But I do watch Christian programming so I can hear Scripture and apply it to my life. If I don't do something spiritual in my life, then I forget sometimes lessons I've learned and experiences I've had. What I will end with is that not going to church won't cause me to go to hell.

Are we in the last heartbeats of this age? It is written that those with understanding will be scattered. Has this already occurred, and is it on the increase? I have always believe that there are believers among all the denominations.
I know that our Father will call his children out of the Great Harlot before all is said and done, which gives a lot to meditate upon.. If our Fathere is calling all of His children out of her, it stands to reason He is calling them out of all of her daughters for she is the mother of harlots.
The moment is at hand, let us pray to be in His care and guidance alwaqys. In the love of Jesus Yeshua, amen.

Following God, He has taken me from a weekly church to a house church with a somewhat unpredictable schedule and a membership spread over 300 miles. In this, I have come to believe that 'church' is anywhere two or more believers are gathered (Matthew 18:20). Also, God has talked to my new fellowship about how some people are 'in the wilderness,' meaning that God hasn't yet brought them to a spiritual home. This is purposeful, just as Israel and Jesus being in the wilderness was accomplishing something, and isn't a place to stay permanently.

Paul said in Heb 10:25 “…not forsake the assembling of yourselves together… as is the manner of some. For a man that isolates himself only fights against himself.”

But… a good church is hard to find. I would say keep looking. You can always try the one closest to you. But don’t beat yourself up if you have a hard time finding one.

All I can say is that Christ knows your situation better then I do. So I can't speak whether if it's right or wrong for you to go to church or not. That's up to you and Christ.

I can use myself as an example though. I haven't been to Church for a while now because I work in the ED in patient registration. I work every weekend. It would be challenging to work a different schedule due to getting weekend differential which is an extra $2.00 per hour for working the weekends.

So I do believe that there can be good reasons why some people may find it more challenging to go to church. That could be a reason like mine or because of some other reasons. At the end of the day it's between Christ and the person that is struggling going to church.

I hoped this helped. God bless
