How involved do you want this to get? A second trip and ask the waitress who was sitting next to you folks last night? She might know them. I know I have missed opportunities to bless others, i think this feeling you are having about it is the same I get and is meant to sharpen us so the next time we won't miss the encounter, you are ok, G-d still loves us! ha!

GG, you did mention that your thread was a safe place to vent so here I go.

At church for the last few weeks there has been a theme of "trusting God".
The sermons have been about it and so have the songs we have sung.

After todays sermon I felt a little better as I have been really struggling to believe God to come through for me in some areas.

I walked over to the food we usually have after the service only to be confronted by a fellow church member. Previously I mentioned to him about some sermons by Curry Blake on healing. He advised me that he watched them and then asked me whether I had watched them all. I replied yes.

He then proceeded to say that if I had watched them all he is surprised my knee is not healed and that I needed a good slap. He said it jokingly but I was furious. Honestly people can be so ignorant. I am trying to find an angry face on my phone but I can't.

End of rant !!!!!

Oh Ruby, I am so sorry you had that experience, I can watch and watch and watch, videos of the greatest believers and not take them in and walk out the lessons, I am not where Curry is, I am closer than I was before I watched and took them in, I am having some success thank you Jesus!
I still take , or try to take Turmeric every day, it is a help, I understand I am not to put my trust in supplements, my trust is in Jesus, I believe and have received confirmation by Holy Spirit, that He may lead us to supplements and other aides to help alleviate our suffering while more i important growth and healing is taking place, Curry once said a person needs to be about 70% healed on the inside before we see healing on the outside, at another point he said "I can get you healed, I can't keep you healed", indicating to me his gifting does not remove the recipients responsibility to live working toward becoming the image of Christ.

I have also noticed it seems each church has some people in it who are not where they need to be and make statements like you heard, that should not be said, sounds like that person needs a lot of healing inside themselves, I still review his series from Doncaster church and am renewed each time, it is like the analogy of us being leaky vessels, meant to continue to take in His Word all the time.
Another time Curry spoke of how the best way to receive healing is to pray for healing for someone else, we know He travels in time and distance and knew at the Creation each of us at CC would know and meet in fellowship in His name at this time.
I have the thought, (from Him perhaps?) that you might enter into prayer for that person who misspoke for his healing and growth, I can see where he might come up to you later and apologize.
A dear friend I had not spoke with for about 40 years got in touch, he shared how his son had been turned from him by his ex wife, we immediately prayed as prompted by Holy Spirit, asking His healing and restoration of the relationship in Jesus name, his son called 2 weeks later saying "something had been bugging me for 2 weeks to call my dad".
I commit to pray for you for healing in Jesus name, keep us posted on what success you experience.
bless you Miss Ruby, in Jesus name

Dear Ruby,
I'm so sorry to hear about that encounter. Sometimes well meaning "humor" isn't very funny at all.
Sometimes when it comes to healing, we expect things to be instantaneous........... in that case, it is a miracle.
Other times, healing comes little by little..... but it comes.
Holding you up in prayer,
GG

at this time of our lives, our dear, sweet, Lord is having us totally concentrate on Him,
and not the things around us - it has been a struggle, letting go of the 'old habits'
that have been ingrained into our brains since childhood, 'the old-order' -
but, we are progressing and it is so very liberating - it's always good
to be setting our houses in order, but the main thing is setting our
Spiritual-House in order first - if we keep our priorities correct,
the Spiritual knowledge will guide us into how to take care
of the physical works, in other words, we begin to learn
to work 'smarter and not harder' -
sometimes the slower we go, the faster we get done...
