For example, an evangelist and a pastor both preach, but they do so (typically) for different reasons, ,''
Thanks. All your post a good refresher of which I really wasn't contending to which rests on your use of ''typically'' so true! As in predominately but not at all entirely which again, doesn't relax NOT building on another's foundation no more than it diminishes any office of the Body of Christ. Being ''fully equipped'' suggest overlapping care without disrupting our specific chosen part of the Body IMHO.

Off topic: Has anyone else been experiencing a bad connection (of some sort) here over the last day or two or three

My last reply above was ready to post about 2 hours ago, but when I tried to do so it wouldn't work. I came back about an hour later and tried again, but to no avail. So, I waited for a while again and this time it worked (like it always has in the past).

This is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened recently.

Thanks for your help!

edit: this one posted immediately, like it almost always has in the past. Oh well, maybe it's been fixed (whatever the problem was) :geek:
Yes, twice, yesterday only requiring an hour or two pause before reconnect was possible.

You ask a lot of "do we have to" questions. If your heart has been changed by the Lord, you'll want to evangelize and do all that pleases Him. If the question is: Does it please Him when we evangelize, then the answer is yes. But we should do it with the gifts He's given us, not by our own strength.
It's the beat-all easiest way to start a thread on a topic. He should get smoother with practice.

What do you all think?
Well... if I know you like dark chocolate, and I know this one really good brand that you haven't tried, should I tell you about it?

If you use a flip phone but your use case just SCREAMS "I should be using a smartphone" and you keep complaining about the limitations of your current phone, should I tell you how a smartphone could help you?

If your life is a mess, you keep making bad decisions and you maintain a high level of drama constantly in your life, should I tell you where to find a guide to make better choices? Gee, think, think, think.

Nah. I'll just let you stumble on through life. That seems to me like the right decision. Yeah. That's it.

Hmm... So that sounded a lot more sarcastic when I posted it and read it back than it did when it was just in my head.

What I mean is, if we know something that will help people a lot, why would we NOT want to tell them about it.

The best salesman is one who really likes his product and honestly believes it will help you if you will try it. If we don't tell people about God, what... We just let them drift on?
