There is no foundation for the book being spoken of as the book of the living. There is no scripture that ever introduces a book of the living. You have to assume that into the passage.

Of course you don't understand. You believe that the gospel is about choosing rather than a declaration of truth, that soils can change themselves into other soils, and that the book of Life wasn't written before the foundation of the world.

The gospel doesn't offer choices. It merely declares the truth concerning salvation. Depending upon the soil, people will respond.

They believe Jesus is God. They tremble having evidenced His power in creation and being under His judgment. But they haven't believed in Him for salvation.
