Well give it a good squeeze now and then, because once the outside starts getting soft, it won't be long before it starts to ferment and turn itself into alcohol. lol
Lol yeah true sir ๐ but sliced the pineapple yesterday and it was not so bad it was actually perfect in taste ๐ a lil sour and just nice sweetness ๐
So, don't let the outside get soft?????
I've never cut into a fresh pineapple, but they were super cheap in the grocery store a few weeks back so I tried to google about it. What I learned/understood is that if it is green it isn't ready and to let it turn yellow......
but I let one turn yellow, almost orange and it was VERY soft.
How do you know when it's ready to eat?
And Kireina,
It is awesome that you got to grow your own. It looks so yummy.
You smell it sis @Godsgirl83 If it smells nice already that means you need to peel the pineapple already... don't wait until it gets soft. Soft means it is over ripe. And an over ripe pineapple is not so nice.
