Depends on what you mean by dating. If by dating you mean going out with that person to the cinema, an amusement park or having a coffee or going to a park for a chat or something like that, then I would have no problem in dating a non-christian, instead, that would be a good opportunity to share the gospel, share thoughts about God and other interesting topics.

If by dating you mean kissing and having a relationship and engagement, then I would not date that person.

I thought dating was always about romantic involvement. I would call anything else 'hanging out' with friends.

Yeah, but seriously. If i wasn't a Christian and asked a girl on a date, and realized she only said yes to preach at me, i'd be pretty mad. Not likely i would give a crap what she would have to say, i'd feel tricked into having to listen to some religious nut trying to convert me and pretending to be interested in me to get the chance to preach at me. I don't think that would be effective, it seems more like deception.

I'm totally guilty of flirting to convert. But, I really hurt someone back in 2010. So I try not to lead anyone on anymore.


But I'll go to a movie alone and hang out with someone else that shows up alone too. We might catch a bite afterwards too. I don't explicitly use this to evangelize but, I really like making friends with strangers.

I have dated nonbelievers before and it just would NEVER work. I won't date a non believer again. I want marriage and children someday and when it comes to some core beliefs, I refuse to budge. How can I teach my children what I don't live? I am grateful now that the past relationships didn't work out. I didn't have faith in God and 'settled'. Before I knew it, I was being pushed further from God. I don't think it was any of their intentions, but it can easily happen depending on the people you surround yourself with (dating and otherwise). Now, I enjoy life and put God above EVERYONE. I wake up everyday and thank God for what he has given me. I am determined to be happy with or without someone and when God wants someone to be in my life, he will put them in my path.

Exactly what Esarin just said. Almost as if she wrote it on my behalf... lol.
I know a number of Christians that are married to non-believers. It is a constant struggle for them. I would strongly recommend against it. I have experienced the same.

In Italy there are more boys than girls in the church. I often go to church and there isn't woman under the age of 35. Come here girls please!! :D
I wish you to find the man of your life. Surely it must be a Christian or a man who wants to believe and who seek God.

I keep telling folks we need to go Old Testament with marriage. But my own wife won't even support me in that regard. What gives? :)

I imagine those would be Catholic churches. I hope the parents are keeping a close eye on their boys. I'm just sayin'.

Esther: Woman inherits the husband after he puts away his previous wife. Husband is extremely gullible.
David: The man is anointed by God, yet the whole ordeal involving wives and children is tale of incest, rape, and murder.
Jacob again: The man's two wives can't stop competing, so they solve the problem by making him sleep with their maids.
Michal: Your dad gives you to a man he hates as prize. When you poke fun at your husband, God makes you barren.

Its 'keeping a CLOSE eye', not closed. It means to be watchful of them. Usually in reference to wrong or dangerous behavior. Though sometimes used in a playful manner, as dashadow was.

Such as a parent may have a toddler always getting into things, and tell the new babysitter 'keep a close eye on him, he is always sneaking cookies'.

Cavaliere, here in the US, not sure about other countries, there has been a huge scandal in regards to the Catholic Priests.
