If you are a husband, how would you feel about your wife being examined by a male gynecologist? Would you prefer her to see a female doctor for personal exams? How do you feel about this?
Me am jealous of my wife and i don't want any man to touch her. I prefer to seek a female doctor for her consultation

It's natural for a loving husband to be jealous. It's a shame people have to twist it around.

1 Cor 3:3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?

Some thread...

It's a personal decision for the woman... I know women who will only go to a woman and I know women who will not go to a woman at all... their reason is unanimously "every woman doctor they ever tried is rough and inconsiderate in their dealings with the delicate parts... and the men doctors are more careful and and considerate in their examinations. IF a woman is of the latter persuasion and her husband wants her to go to a woman doctor regardless... I think she ought to be entitled to crack him in his delicate parts for every "ouch" she suffered at the hands of the woman doctor he insisted upon. ;)

Of course male doctors are more gentle. They want women to come back to them lol. And I would never marry a woman who did not respect my feelings on this issue. People can get so use to something they no longer recognize it for what it is. We live in a age where it has become the norm for a woman to undress for a male doctor, and anybody who has the courage to speak against it gets labelled as insecure or possessive. Such as life.

i as trying not to twist it , but you and others made it sound perverse. As a woman I find that offensive, not the fact that you don't want your wife to see a female gynecologist. In fact I find this whole thread weird and disturbing.

You're warped... and poorly informed. The woman undresses while no one is in the room, puts on a gown and when the Doctor comes in to examine there is a nurse present to witness against any impropriety... that is the same protocal for both MALE and FEMALE doctors.

Then stop keep coming back then if it's so disturbing.

Interesting! I've come across many women who said that they had to undress in front of the doctor or was examined without a nurse being there. And even if a nurse is there, a nurse doesn't know what the doctor is thinking. Doctors are men first and job second. You can call me what you like, if you have to resort to name calling then it only shows that the truth offends you.

Whoops excuse me... here in AMERICA our medical establishment is apparently more civilized in it's preservation of human dignity... in the gynecological arena at least. If women hafta undress in front of the Doctor... what difference does it make with your theory... You don't have any lesbian Doctors over there?

You're entitled to your opinion. My point is that I wouldn't want a wife that did not respect my feelings on this subject. If women are willing to undress for a male doctor and allow him to see her in an exposed position, then that's her choice. I myself don't agree with it and find it disgusting. But I guess expressing my opinion is a sin.

No our medical establishment is pretty much the same, only midwives deliver our babies unless there is a problem.

Wow this thread has turned into a weird and awkward debate. I will only say I'd prefer seeing a female doctor, but it's really not something I had thought about it so much....and I hope my husband doesn't stop sleeping over this either lol .

As I haven't fully read thru every page of post it kinda seems... um.... the OP has a personal issue against the fact of a man doing delicate medical work on his spouse if he was married. Seemingly so rooted thru a distrust or insecurity of the chance the man may be thinking this or that. This is all founded on what the Op feels within himself, I as in being a cna1 before gave men and women bed baths, changed diapers, and wiped butts and the majority of them was grateful someone was giving them the care they needed for that. But to be honest insecurity does not give you a right to dictate what your wife can or cant do. A husband is not a dictator so hopefully your decisions you decide our founded out of love for your future (wife)... If not I can only wish you good luck it seems YOU are the problem, not the doctors , not a women not respecting your feelings, but its a personal problem. And please don't confuse controlling one cause of distrust or some underlying problem, with being a man leading a marriage. ooooo I am out my element I usually don't defend the womenz.... lol

It would be up to my figurative, future wife what she chooses. Ultimately her health is most important and having someone she's comfortable with. Also, it should be a doctor who prescribes minimal drugs. Drugs just aren't healthy (but in rare/extreme cases are necessary).

First of all, its silly to say that it is a slippery slope for a man to ask or tell his wife not to see a man doctor b/c we live in a day and age when there are tons of doctors to choose from, male and female! She wouldn't be missing out on quality medical care, maybe if she was that would be a consideration but since she isn't that's a mute point. Secondly, Idk where ya'll get your information but I've never heard of anyone having an orgasm during a medical exam! They are uncomfortable, awkward, even humiliating, sometimes even painful! They don't feel good, physically or emotionally. Anyone who has a sexual reaction to such a thing has other issues leaving bigger concerns then just avoiding a male doctor. Also, I think its more a matter of personal preference, my mother-in-law (the most conservative and prude person on the planet) thinks nothing of using a male OB b/c in her time female doctors were few and far between. I, on the other hand, grew up using all female doctors, and on top of that am an extremely modest and private person, I hate even being examined by a female doctor and would never see a male doctor if he were the last doctor on earth, unless of course my husband decided to become a doctor! Some people are perfectly comfortable with doctors of the opposite sex, we shouldn't judge them. If they are doing it for the wrong reasons that is their business and they will suffer the consequences. Likewise, when someone is not comfortable, particularly if it is your spouse, we should respect them and their feelings. It's not about control or submitting, its about respecting each other, loving each other, and most of all honoring one another. We should care enough about our spouse's feelings that if they were not comfortable with it we would not want to do it period, no discussion necessary.
